Hi ladies, I'm new to this thread but I'm going dress shopping this weekend so I dresses on the brain!  All of you have such beautiful dresses and they are not all "beachy", part of me wants a beachy flowy dress and part of me wants a traditional beautiful gown.  So many decisions, yikes!

Don't buy the first dress you like. Shop around and try lots of dresses on. The dress will pick you.

Thanks for the advice!  I am very excited about trying on dresses.  I see your date is July 27,  mine is July 29!

yay Kristina!!! Dallas has so many awesome bridal shops. Have fun with the process, and do take your time. Visit several shops and try on different styles and designers. You may surprise yourself and choose something you never would have imagined. Trust the consultants in the shop - they know their dresses, and they know which ones will flatter each beautiful bride. Good luck!!

LL I just purchased a Pronovias Parabola off the rack for my beach wedding (got it for $900 CDN).  A lot of alterations to be done, though!  It needs to be made several sizes smaller, shortened, and have the zipper back replaced with a corset, if possible.  Hopefully the alterations won't cost as much as the dress did!  Yikes!!
I purchased a sample gown too that is way too big and I'm getting lots of things changed on it so I know how you feel! Are u getting it altered from same place u bought it?

Exciting weekend - I have collected my dress and my H2B and best man are away to order their kilts.

Enjoy your dress search ladies and remember to have an open mind and try on dresses suggested to you - you may very well be surprised.

Enjoy the journey  ~ Kirstin x

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
