OMG, your dress is amazing!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your RSVP's...We are getting married October 4th in Tulum at La Zebra, I made our RSVP date July 15th and we are done, final count 43.

I have pretty much everything major done and go for what could be my final fitting today if I am good with everything.

My body shouldn't change much. I'm a health nut & blogger about it as well as one of those obsessed crossfitters. What I would recommend to you is that you cut the bad sugars (lay off fruit), grains  (wheat, starches), dairy, and any beverage other than coffee, tea or water. Eat more green leafy veggies and watch your portions. Not sure what you already do but if watch those things you could see a difference I'm sure.  Hope that helps.

I am almost done with arranging shuttles. The little things I have left are my gifts for the MOH & BM and printing a couple things on cardstock and making the final payments. Things are good and I CAN NOT WAIT to be in paradise w/ our family & friends.

Thank You! Hopefully I will keep my alterations down to a bustle and some cup inserts (considering the low back). Our RSVP date was June 1st (we sent out invitations VERY early in hopes that by now we would have a count, but oh well.

Last year at this time I was obsessed with TurboFire- I was working out 6 days a week and lost 10lbs (I worked my bum off for each lb!) but this year I just have lost my drive. While I am a Northerner my future husband is a Southerner - so unfortunately if he cooks we tend to either go out or it's fried chicken and things that are not good for you. I have turned him onto roasted veggies in an attempt to get him to eat better lol. I will utilize some of your tips though-carbs will kill me as I love my bread. I know it will be worth it though if I can just stay strong.

43 is a great number! It sounds like you are well on your way to that celebration! Have you looked on etsy? They had some beautiful personalized gifts.

Honestly....you look great in your dress from the pic's you posted so I really wouldn't worry about, but I know that's easier said than done....just like cutting out bread! hehe

It isn't easy to totally flip the script on eating habits and especially when it's convenient to just join in with the FI and have what he's having, I totally get it. :)

OMG, Etsy is amazing. I have bought so much stuff from there (guest photo book, photo props, favors, etc.) and I am actually thinking of getting the shave kit that someone makes on there for the Best Man and fill it with travel size goodies, just have to double check with the FI.

SOOOO EXCITED! jiggy.gif

Hi nbateman! Here is the link to the sunglasses http://www.4funparties.com/Assorted_Neon_Sunglasses_p/wp22.htm   They are definitely not real sunglasses considering sides are rubber but they are only for a day so I figured what the heck? They are very fun!

So we're getting married the same day? How cool is that? I am super excited! My wedding coordinator just emailed me with forms to fill out about colors, flowers, decorations, the cake...etc.  I can not believe how close it is!

Those sunglasses are so cheap!! What's the quality like? When are you going to mexico? We're arriving Wednesday the 2nd! Two months from tomorrow!  You doing real flowers or bringing artificial? I went the artificial route since they're practically just as expensive and I get to keep them! If you're interested or have any questions, let me know! I've chosen practially everything, just waiting on clutches and jewelry to arrive from etsy!

The sunglasses are really nice actually for the price.  I mean they are not heavy duty but they will work.  The frames are plastic and the sides are a rubber type material.  The colors are great too.  We get to Mexico on 10/1 Tuesday.  We have to be there 2 full days before the day of the wedding to work with the coordinator.  For my bouquet I am having real flowers because that is included in the wedding package.  As far as bridesmaids flowers we are just going to run over to Costco and get some made up there.  That's what a lot of other brides have told me they did when in Cabo.  Nothing crazy expensive though.  I honestly didn't think about artificial flowers.  That's not a bad idea at all! I might have to think about that one.  Etsy seems to be a popular site for wedding stuff huh? We bought our "boarding pass" invitations there and I also bought my rhinestone/satin sash there as well.  They have a really cute rhinestone starfish hair pin that i've been eyeing but haven't decided on that yet.  As far as jewelry I already have my earrings that I ordered from hautelook.  I've decided not to wear a necklace since my earrings and sash are kinda blingy.  I figured that would be a little too much for a mexico wedding.  I am soooo excited about it though.  But yeah, if I think of any questions I will definitely be in touch.  Thanks!

Thanks for the info, just ordered the glasses!!!

I had the same idea for the starfish hair pin, but opted to do the starfish bobby pins, these are the ones I bought.  I put them in my hair for a sort of pre-trial with my stylist here in the US who unfortunately can't make it to MX : ( They look great! Here's also a pic of roughly how they'll look, my real updo will be much tighter and less frizzy, this was just a quick and dirty updo.

Packing up everything for the OOT bags in a suitcase as I write this to see what'll fit and how it should be packed and it looks like I'm going to need a carry on for the plastic tumblers I got everyone (dollar tree), then a full size suitcase for my wedding week survival kits and cosmetic bags filled with extra goodies for our close female family members. dang...I thought I was gonna be able to fit everything in a big suitcase, but those cups take up a lot of space!

Wow! Your hair looks amazing! I think it looks great kinda loose like that.  I have a picture of how I want to do my hair but I don't have very thick hair so I don't know if it will work.  But I'll figure something out.  And I really like those starfish bobby pins! I may have to consider those!

We have not started the OOT bags but I get home in about 10 days so that's when we are going to start looking into that.  Nothing like waiting till the last minute huh? I've though about getting cups as well since the ones they serve you at all-inclusive resorts are so small.  I'll keep in mind that I may need an extra suit case! HA!

Thanks! I really wish my hair girl could come to MX with us, but she can't make it : (

How is everyone else doing??? Anyone need any help with anything?? Just made some final decisions on tiki torches for our welcome party, chair bows for the ceremony and honeymoon breakfast menu and I think that's all I have left to do besides what the fiance is doing...

Getting married October 12th, 2013 at Riu Negril. I think most the big things are done but I am starting to over think and wonder if I am forgetting stuff. I have the dresses, OOT bags, hair/make up booked, travel plans, reception party planned and ordered some items to take with me(chair sashes etc.). Now just looking at little things. I am excited!! I just need reassurance that I am not forgetting anything!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
