Bridesmaid gifts- how much?!?!

Recommended Posts

Hi Brides,

I am having a destination wedding in Mexico next May, I have 7 bridesmaids (!) and I'm just not sure what to get for them? Below is a pic of what I got so far- the clutch was from Aldo, regularly $39.99 but I got them for $15.00- they do multi-item discounts, in case anyone is wondering. And the necklace also from Aldo for $15.00.  That's $30 apiece, but I feel like I want to/should get something else for my MOH?  I am thinking of about another $30-40, is that too much?   I don't want to look cheap, but at the same time, 7 bridesmaids is a LOT!

Thanks!

Kristen

I love the gifts. Can't go wrong with accessories and clutches, especially if they will compliment their look on the big day. I do believe MOH has more responsibilities and financial burden - especially if she is paying for your shower alone. So maybe she deserves something extra... Not expensive, but just to differentiate her from your bridesmaids. Maybe you can give it to her privately to avoid making the other girls feel left out. :D

I love your bridesmaids gifts! This is what I did......I bought all my girls their dresses and shoes ($150), as well as "guess" wallets from the Guess outlet store ($30), and tropical inspired stuff from Bath & Body Worx ($20). I have 5 bridesmaids. I hope this helps with ideas.

For my Bridesmaids I paid for their dresses $55 Their shoes $20 and jewelry $20 I also purchased them personalized Champagne Flutes $8.  $103 I spent in total on each bridesmaid.  I am also including something extra in their OOT bag, I am still undecided on the item.

I am asking that they pay for their hair and make-up at the resort that will cost them $115

Oh I like the Bath & Body Works idea- I think I missed the boat on that one, I was just there last night and their summery stuff is all gone :(

I was also thinking of a nice lipgloss and some other stuff to make a care pkg type of thing...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
