So officially bought all the stuff to make my DIY passport invites, total cost $47 and can make 50 of them.....cost to do them through etsy would be $190 for 30!!!! Total savings, $147......I think that was a smart choice. Also, as of today we officially saved enough to pay for the ceremony, and my dress has been paid for already. Now to work on saving for the OOT bags, extras, rings, and honeymoon LOL Although we do have half the honeymoon paid off too

That's some good savings!  That must be a good feeling!

I'm putting my deposit and on the photographer tomorrow and we're planning to pay our remaining balance for our Honeymoon and the wedding at the resort by the end of September. It's crazy how much money we'll be spending in the next 8 weeks but it'll feel good to have it paid!!!

I'm actually kind of hoping that everyone can't come so that we stay on budget (bad brownsugarbride, I know!).  We'll have an at-home reception (not too expensive) for people that we don't invite/can't come to the wedding, but I am not losing a minute of sleep worrying about people that can't come.  And although I have used this gif before in this thread, it never goes out of style when people start bothering you about the wedding.
Meee toooo. !! More for me to have that I want at reception without thinking of paying pp..stay the hell home!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
