My fiance and I are going to try a 'who can change the most by the wedding' contest. He's looking to build & I'm looking to tone, so we can't really do greatest pound loss. That might be fun here for those of us that are getting married around the same time!

Love to hear you're doing Zumba, jandl2013! I'm an instructor. :D

I like your idea about the thread!

I was told that if I order in July I won't have the dress back until early Dec, and I'm getting married in June. So just keep that in mind b/c you will do a few fittings before the big day! Glad your surgery went well and I hope the next is the same
Thank you :) that gives me a good idea hopefully I can order mine by September and it won't be cutting it too close! :)

That should be good, I wanted to do it earlier b/c my cousin works for a bridal designer and there's a bridal 2014 collection show July 20th/21st and she can get me a huge discount.

Good for you jandl2013 - hoping you see some changes for yourself, most importantly from the mental perspective, and then the body stuff seems to follow suit :) I need to go visit the threads about fitness and lifestyle, I can talk about this stuff all day :)

Thanks Jessica and MrsShoreytobe!  I'm definitely getting mentally geared to make it happen.  Thankfully, i'm naturally muscular so I just need to get in gear and get this stomach and arms back in shape then tone up.  Not too bad as long as I keep motivated. smile67.gif

mairelys - I've had the tapes for a few months i'm ashamed to say but I just had too much going on, but now i'm ready plus I love to dance so that should keep me interested.  I also plan on joining a few live sessions when time permits.

jennMC - I know a few people who have been doing it and losing the weight with a great eating plan.  I've done hot yoga before and i really liked it and how it made me feel afterwards! Namaste! rolleyes.gif

I bought my dress last August.. so like 2 years early. I don't know.. I was more stressed about finding and paying for a dress than about my weight. I don't mind at all taking it in if I lose weight. & gives me a good reason not to let myself get any bigger!

I'm not a hot yoga fan because I'm a HUGE Jillian Micheals fan, and she says you perform worse during a hot yoga class since you're not in an optimal environment, and sweating doesn't equal weight loss. Making yourself sweat from exercising when the temperature is normal is good, but sweating because it's hot has nothing to do with anything other than your body regulating its temperature. (Same reason you don't lose weight by sitting in a sauna). You also risk injury moreso than a regular class because your muscles are more easily overstretched beyond where you should be stretching. That's just my two cents though, I know lots of people who love it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
