Where are people getting these offsite WC from? I'm assuming that the WC and the TA are two different people that serve two different functions. Please excuse my ignorance, I just need some clarity on the topic.

Well my TA is here and I have my WC in Punta Cana whom I have contact with whenever I have a question. It all depends on your questions and needs!

Really? I was hoping it'd be over soon... this is nerve wrecking!!! ::Deep sigh:: It's like I'm waiting on a date. I'm trying to get FI to agree on a style/theme etc. it's alot of work! I have to say, FI is very supportive and very involved. He wants to be apart of every planning step. Which sounds amazing, but in reality it can kinda be a little frustrating. I'm not going to complain though.

it can be frustrating, but it will all come together smoothly. as far as the WC. I can't speak on that, i was assigned one immediately, like within 48 hours after i booked and she and i talk all the time, either on phone, or email. she always responds to me promptly. and we have planning sessions every ohter month unless i need her sooner.

You are lucky, my FI doesn't get involved, I wish, all he says is: whatever you like I am ok with it.

I wanted to do diy things, but in the intrest of time, some things i just decided, wasn't worth the headache. by the time i bought alot of the materials, paper, cut, fold, make sure it right font, wording, score it,etc, i was like ohhhh heeeeeeeee...... naw. lol, but i do have a few minor diy things like stamps for my envelopes and doing other little things like labels for my tumblers.  i'm doing a very very very informal  ahr, will be large bbq/seafood boil, and also have jumbo tron lawn screen for us to do movies on green, just let people enjoy themselves in their own element.

That's a great idea! I want to OOT bags but I will probably scratch them if I start to get that shopping bug! I'm trying to limit myself and I'm good right now. How are you making a stamp for your envelopes?

Yes two different people. The TA doesn't really coordinate the wedding itself just travel resort stay things like that. Talking to resort on your behalf. However some TA' s go above and beyond and help in all aspects. My WC was also assigned to me when i booked a date was set for a conference call with an on site coordinator immediately. If you are having on site once your date is set I'm sure they will contact you. If off site you might want to start looking for an off site coordinator. My island isn't very large and when I was thinking of doing off resort there were only about two I believe to choose from.

hey there! I have the urge to DIY but I'm afraid everything will look like a 3rd grade art project and that's just unacceptable. I can't have that happen. So that's holding me back but... I'm willing to try. I'd employ the help of my bridesmaids but... The ones I'm considering (bc I haven't asked yet) all live very far from me. It's highly unlikely that they are going to be much help. Maybe another post for another board :) but I'm sure I'll figure it out. I think my mom is going to be super involved, and that's great bc she's not really a hands on kind of person.

That's my biggest fear of it looking like a 3rd grade art project. I can't have that for my wedding! But I want to have personalized items at the wedding also so idk! My mom is involved too but my oldest sister is beyond excited and wants to do everything!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
