I think you can wear whatever you feel comfortable and most beautiful in.  I told my FI as soon as he suggested a DW that's fine but I'm still wearing a full wedding gown. It's a fit and flare trumpet style with ruching(?) in the middle. It's very simple so I added a belt which totally makes the dress. I feel beautiful and it's comfortable and I CANNOT wait to wear it!

My BM are wearing dresses by Bill Levkoff. There are two styles (links below)

The groomsmen are wearing light tan pants with a white button down and a pastel pink tie. MY FI is wearing the same thing but with a jacket (so a suit) and dress shoes

I don't have a flower girl or ring bearer but would dress them in normal wedding attire as well

Some people want a real beachy feel and that's awesome and great, I'm just not one of them I want a more formal feeling

We have similar tastes! I loooove ruching in a fit and flare dress!!

I also really like your bridesmaid dresses!

Have you tried J.Crew? They're having a great sale now, with an additional 40 percent off factory items. This dress for bridesmaids is less than 90 bucks before the sale price and they have different colors:

Thanks! I'll look into them

so random but I went to school with 3 girls and they each called themselves differently. One was Kim, another Kimmy and the third Kimberly ...

I actually make crafts and stuff like floral arrangements (silk and real) and lot of other stuff to sell.. .. and jewelry    so I feel like people will expect something like this from me.

I love non-white dresses! I'm leaning towards ivory but I've seen some champage and blush pink dresses that are cute.

The only thing is it only comes in Ivory and I need a White dress b/c the FI has chosen his white suit (got it on sale at express) and i guess we kinda have to match. So I am going with Jasmine's Bridal to replicate it for me in white. I too, am not wearing a "beachy, destination" wedding dress. I figured...Go big or Go Home! I'm only doing this once and I'll never get to wear something like this again!!! But my girls are doing the beachy feel with convertible dresses and flat silver sandals. My flower girls, however, will be in the traditional white dress with the colored sash and my ring bearer's father has insisted "a true gentleman does not go casual for such an occasion", so my baby cousin will be in a grey vest and pants with white shirt and bow tie.

LOVE!! The first dress I tried on was another White by Vera gown and my sisters' mouths literally dropped when i walked out of the dressing room. I'm checking out a couple more stores this weekend but so far that dress is the frontrunner!

How is everyone handling how long people stay? I love that people are willing to come so far to my wedding and make a vacation out of it but how do I politely tell them that this is still our honeymoon too?

I feel like my sisters are more excited about going to Jamaica than the actual wedding! They are talking about buying an extra suitcase when they already each have 2 huge ones!

I'm like 'really?? I don't want you hanging around my entire wedding-moon!!!"

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
