Hi Ladies,

Thank you so much to all the brides sharing their information! It's very helpful :) I've been reading the posts for awhile and don't have much to add yet. My wedding is at BP in April 2013 and I have about 100 guests. I was referred to my current TA and she told me to wait until a little after a year to get rates for room and flight blocks. I followed up with her in May to work on getting everything together and I still don't have any information! I'm considering getting a new travel agent. Can anyone make any good recommendations?

Also, to all the brides getting married around the same time (March/April/May 2013) do you have your room blocks/rate information yet? I'm starting to get a little nervous :/

I have one out of Alabama that has provided great pricing for my resort in Cancun area. PM me if interested.

    Hi There,

Our wedding is May 25, 2013 and we got our pricing at the beginning of April and locked it in at that time, all of our 40 guests have paid their deposits and everything.  From what our travel agent told us, they get pricing etc way before it's even posted online, so if you go onto say itravel2000.com and can search your date and get a quote, then your agent should absolutely have this information!

Where are you located?  I wish I could reccommend an agent for you, but our travel agency, Blue Petal Destination Weddings was just bought out by a small independent agency and we have had nothing but problems with them for the past month, which really sucks because we feel like we're stuck.  It's hard to find a great agent that you really click with and understands your needs and preferences!   I would go with what Tammy suggested, we got our original referral for Blue Petal off this website and our original agent was FABULOUS.

    Hope that helps- good luck!

    Kristen
