Hey erinmc!!!

They really are super easy to make. You need some seed beads (which are really small beads), some larger decorative beads, stretchy bead cord (.5mm), and some bead glue for glueing the knots so it doesnt come undone. Start with about 2ft of the cord and hold each end in each hand (so a big U shape). Bead about 50 beads on one side of the U, they will all fall together at the bottom, this will make your toe loop. Then put both ends of the string together and bead a couple seed beads (or you can use your decorative beads) so that both ends of the string goes through the hole in the bead (known as double stringing). you can play with double stringing and single stringing the beads to make your pattern that goes up the top of your foot, measure as you go so you know how long to make it. Once its long enough separate the two ends once again and single string the beads on both sides until its long enough to go around your ankle then tie off, i double knot it. Then use a couple drop of the bead glue on the knot and when dry trim the excess string.

Hope that helps!!

I love all of your sandals! I'm going to try the single/double thing on my next few pairs :) I have five down.........and 23 more to go if I do what I'm planning.....making them for every female attending the wedding. I figure I'll make my bridal pair last, once I get really good at it! lol.

I love the bags that you got though! I got turquoise organza bags for mine, but also want to get a little tag with some sort of poem :)

Here is what I have so far.....I'm trying to do them all in a mix of turquoise/blues/white which are our colours....Any tips?

I'll let you know for sure if I come up with something for a poem/verse to attach to a tag :)

My colours are turquoise/blue/white - so I'm trying to keep within those colour combos too. I think it's a pretty nice item to include in the OOT bags for the ladies coming - just not sure what I've gotten myself into......could take me the next 9 months to get all 28 done...lol. Maybe I'll get faster as I go through them? At least the weather is nice right now - I've been carting all of the supplies out to my patio table and sitting in the sun doing it :)

I don't know if I should find something to put in the OOT bags for the men to sort of even out the barefoot sandals for the women.....but if I don't think of something - oh well!

I love, love all of yours too! Keep posting pics as you go!

I was in Michaels today in search of the muslin bags which I found (thank you Dazeldawl:) and I found a few stamps on sale. One had a nice quote that I thought was perfect for the bags "Play in the warmth of the sun. Dance in the light of the moon". I know a few of you were looking for a poem so I thought I'd share :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
