We just got our engagement photos back and they turned out awesome!  I am starting to put together passport invites, and around Christmas I will use the engagement pix to remind people to rsvp!  I think that was Miss Bubbles suggestion :)  I will share some of my favorites

Love the foliage as well! I love the idea of sending reminders. Wish I had done this. :/

So anyways, I just got direct confirmation from our WC Ramon about how much per person it is to add additional guests to the Eternity package. Drum Roll Please.....it is $94 usd per person over out alloted 25 (that inclds bride and groom in that count). So we're looking at around 5 additional people so that's basically $500 extra!!! I'm ready to just say F' it to the whole package and just go to the buffet. That is so insane to me. For got sakes we are already paying for ALL INCLUSIVE!! What are you guys doing and how are you dealing with extra costs and what not?? Has anyone tried to bargin this down? That is waaay to crazy and I'm ready to just tell them NO

Sucks, right? We're in the same boat as you two and anticipate going over ther 25 by +/- 5 guest.  I haven't bothered trying to negotiate this price since the two wedding coordinators at Now Jade have been very accomodating to their brides.  Considering the amount of decor that I will bring with me for setup, they are only charging me $40 which I am pleasantly suprised by. And for the past 10 months, every BDW Now Jade bride has been able to swap items, get credit towards cost for wedding package items not used, and none of them have been charged the day pass fee for outside photography.  With all this in mind the cost per additional guest isn't so offensive. Have you read anything similar on the Now Sapphire thread? Also, I know the Now Jade price per person breakdown covers extra apps for the cocktail hour and the wedding cake which don't seem necessary based on feedback from the Now Jade thread, so the cost comes down by $20 or so.

I'm new to the forums and just saw this thread... I haven't read through all 90+ pages yet, but wanted to say that I am a May 2013 bride too!!  I have been seriously planning since February of this year, but just found this website.

We are getting married onboard the Carnival Paradise, while it is in port in Grand Cayman.  The cruise leaves Tampa on Monday May 13th, then we are getting married in port on Wednesday, May 15th.  I'm super excited to have found this website and these froums.  Not sure if anyone else out there is a cruise bride, but I have already found some really great information (like where to get the mini-passport invitations).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
