2013 Paradisus Palma Real

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm new to the page but seeing so many good advices I thought I share some besides asking some questions myself. I'm getting marry June 15th 2013 at paradisus palma real. I did book our wedding date this past August.. We are working with a agency by paradisus... We got a 20 room block for our guest we had to pay a 100 for each room, but per the contract any room not book the money gets returns to us or apply to the wedding as final payment. We did this to block the rates which is 180.oo per person. Guess only give $100 deposit per person when booking the room and 60 prior to the wedding they charge the rest. They also had a special call love at first site.. They let you visit the hotel three months prior to your wedding at the 180.00 per person for a 3 night stay a junior deluxe suite with upgrade to the reserve or royal. VIP site inspection of your ceremony & reception locations with a member of the hotel and menu testing. They also have romance showroom set up. A credit will be applied towards the final payment on the wedding package selected. This credit will be equal to the cost of the site inspection package and limited to the value of the first 3-nights of their stay. We are going now in February and I'm very excited to see the hotel, and to have most of my questions answer.

I have my phone conference call tomorrow for planning!@ Any tips???

Congrats! No really useful tips from me because I haven't done mine- I guess make sure you have your calculator in front of you and make sure everything you request is sent to you in an email so you have written contract so you don't discover hidden charges for anything. Down the road.

So EXCITING! Congrats!woot.gif

My FI and I just had our first meeting with Theresa (the destination wedding planner from Barefoot Brides)! I got her info from another bride on this site. I am so relieved that I finally called her! I think she is the best kept secret for Palma Real brides.  The folks in the Miami (Ask Me) office have been very unpleasant and unresponsive. I tried to track them down for a week to pay my first installment and I was given the run around along with many unanswered questions. I am so happy I don't have to work with them anymore. If anyone has questions let me know.

I'm excited about my wedding again and my choice to go with Paradisus Palma Real!!!!!cheer2.gif

Whats the charge for Theresa? I have heard good things about her as well. I heard she used to work directly for Paradisus before she decided to go independent.

Hey! Theresa is amazing. I just realized that I can have my dream wedding and I don't have to compromise on the look, the details etc. She did work for Paradisus and helped develop the romance packages. She is also an authorized planner for the resort. She can take over your planning at any time. The difference is, is that she works for you and is not trying to make commissions for Ask Me LLC. When you talk to her she will explain to you the entire process. This is the first time there has been transparency for me. She answered ALL of my questions. She is highly organized and patient.

The most important thing is that she is excited about planning weddings--she is happy to work with me. The folks in Miami always made me feel like I was bothering them or they were trying to put off my questions until the official planning call.

Good Morning Ladies,

I am having trouble with the miami office. I emailed them after our trip home over a week ago. I have not heard back and have sent various emails. My fiance and would like to have some questions answered and want to book our wedding for spring next year. How long does it usually take to hear from them?

before our trip it usally took a day or so but it has been over a week. Even though we had a bit of trouble during our trip my fiance and i are set on this place. It really feels like paradise when you are there and that is the feel we are looking for.

I feeling anxious because i would just like to book our date already...hissyfit.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
