Hello,

 

Posting my "newbie" posting. I am currently researching resorts for my wedding next summer 2008 in Riviera Maya and would love peoples recommendations. Here is what I am looking for:

 

100-150 rooms would be ideal (want smaller, more personality, less resort)

Around $200 for a guests' room

on the beach

No more than an hour and one half from Cancun (have 85 year old grandparents that I don't want to torture).

An excellent coordinator....

 

 

PS- I had Shangri La Caribe all picked out but just found out they are selling and won't take reservations past April 2008. Terrible news for me, because the property, in my opinion was perfect!

welcome3.gif to the forum!!! I very recommend you two hotels, the Paradisus Riviera Cancun and the Ceiba del Mar Hotel, they are not located exactly in the city but in a very quiet point nearby Puerto Morelos that is located between Cancun and Playa del Carmen, like 20 minutes away from the International Cancun Airport, both of them have very nice locations for weddings and the coordinators are very good, specially Monica the one of Ceiba del Mar Hotel.       Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
