Good to know because I thought we needed to register it as well. Do you think I'll need to have it translated to English??? Getting married in the DR so my marriage certificate will be in Spanish.

You don't have to "register" you marriage, but if you are changing your name or for benfit/pension or legal stuff you will have to presnt your "Certificate of Marriage" that the gov't of Jamaica gives you. This simple piece of paper is what proves you two are married and is your legal document, so don't lose it! I will be making at least 1 copy and getting it notorized so that I will have 2 copies and don't have to worry about contacting Jamaica in case of emergency.

Does that make sense?

Yes, I think you will have to have it translated.

I've read on here that sometimes you pay a little bit extra for them to translate in down there, otherwise you have to find someone here to do it for you. I'll ask my brother-in-law, that's where they got married, and I know that it is translated, I'm just not sure where they got it done.

Silver starfish gemstone pearl initial charm bracelet

I got these bracelets and matching earrings for my BMs. Also, I picked up some nice straw beach bags at Aldo at the end of the summer. I also paid for their dresses. The etsy seller is RitaSoy. I have 4 BMs. All in all, I think I spent around $500, stayed in budget!

Iâ€ve been going back and forth about what I want to get them for a while now! I was thinking something personal to each of them, but canâ€t seem to find anything just right.  Where did you get your necklaces and earrings?

Thanks for this info, J and G! I will be sure to make copies and get one notorized :) I would hate to lose that one silly piece of paper.

HELP!  I continue to struggle with creating inspiration boards for my resort wedding planner and vendors...I want to do one for hair, makeup, centerpieces, bouquets, bouts and corsages, and the cake.  This SHOULD be an incredibly easy task given that I have all of the photos in a file on my iMac.  All I want to do is create an 8 X 10-ish sheet of various sized empty boxes and drag the inspiration photos into each box.  What is the best/easiest way to do this?

PowerPoint!, Out your pics on each slide and when you go print it, pic 6 slides per page or 9. Also Word is easy and Pinterest is great for inspiration boards. Let me know if you want invite on pinterest.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
