I love number 1!!  They are beautiful dresses.  Hard decision!!

Off the topic of wedding planning...I am leaving for Vegas in 7 days!!!  I have never been before.  Any suggestions from you girls on good places to shop or eat?  Or any other general tips?  We are going for a friend's wedding so it should be fun!!

Hey, I've never used it before, but I read somewehere on here that girls ordered dresses from them and they liked it.

And I have not tried them on :(

Second dress is from Nordstrom. And it is my favourite this week :D. Dress number 1 was favourite last week.

It is so hard to make a decision.

Thanks Torilynnsmith!! FI and I will need to sit down and write down a list of what we want. Would love to find a photographer to take pics all week long. Also, looooved the DIY tissue pomander balls link! I think I will try to make them this weekend :)

TTD session, full day wedding coverage, excursion photos, do you want prints? Albums? or are you ok with a disc?  Videographer... etc.

Once you have these things figured out start looking at photographers work both in your city/province or outside if you like.  Once you have selected some work you like contact those photographers and determine who best suits your needs, budget and expectations!

Best of luck!!!!

There are two versions of tissue pomanders.  I made a bunch of these for my best friends wedding, we used them as "aisle markers" in the church.  I have a green one I made at home sitting on a vase.

This is the version I prefer the look of.  This is just one tutorial but depending how you cut or shape the "petals" the pomander can have a completely different look

http://diytissuepomanders.weebly.com/   -- you could do these ones flat as well and just fluff the flowers when you get down there, it is very time consuming though, but it you use a heavy enough wire gauge you do now need a glue gun!!!!!  Also for my lovely canadian ladies who may want to do these, Dollarama has LARGE styrofoam balls now and depending on size they are $1 each or 2 for $1.  Unfortunately they didnt have these when we did them for my friends wedding and we paid $4+ a ball at walmart!!!

They get "squished" a little but are easy enough to "fluff" up when you get to where you are going!

I tried an entirely tule one and it looked too much like a body pouf you use in the shower (said fi) so we skipped those!

Another version is the "flat" ones

Their all gorgeous!!! But I love the second one, mostly because I'm a big fan of lace! It's very elegant looking. Have you had a chance to try any of these on? Or dresses similar to the these?

I stayed at the Encore, which is the replica of the Wynn Hotel on the outsite. Clean, doesn't smell much smoke walking through casino on weekends. Food is great there!!!! What hotel are you staying at?

What a coincidence!! I am leaving for vegas on saturday night.  I am there for work though!

We are staying at Mandalay bay this time. But I have stayed at NYNY(fun), Paris (lovely but kinda old) , and Stratosphere (sketchville, its gross, stay away!!)

I HIGHLY recommend that you check out the Cosmopolitan. their restaurants are AMAZING and the hotel itself is soooo gorgeous.  It was too pricy to stay there this time but I am definitely considering it for a girls weekend if I can ever make that happen with my besties!

Also for sightseeing and such: check out the fountains in front of belaggio at night, Fremont St (old vegas strip) at night.  Some of the hotels have day passes for their pools, and often have day time parties going on which are fun!

Mandalay bay, luxor, NYNY, Ventian, they ALL have things that are worth seeing if you just want to sight see.

For shopping, there are 2 outlet malls each are about a 15 minute cab or a short bus ride down the strip. Totally worth the trip unless you want high end shopping, then there is LOTS of that on the strip (The shops connected to Bellagio and the ones in Venitian are to die for!)

ummmmmm. what else. wear comfy shoes everywhere you go.  hot heels seem like a great idea in vegas but it NEVER is. the hotels and strip are MASSIVE and everything is further away than it looks. You will do tonnes of walking.  I brought cute little ballet flats or wedges to wear at night with cocktail dresses last time and it was soo much better on my legs and feet.

Its also SUPER dry there and you need to drink twice as much water. I always forget this and I get dehydrated.  especially if you are drinking.  Sometimes I forget its a DESERT lol.

Have such a great time! Cant wait to hear how their Vegas wedding was!

I've tried similar dresses and all 3 of them should look good on me.

So jealous of your vegas trip, we were almost going to do a DW there! We stayed at the venitian in the venezia tower and it was lovely.  I say just see as much as you can, we went all out when it came to food and it was so worth it.  Not big buffett people (can be done super cheap) so food was a BIG expense for us but we did not have ONE bad meal everything was amazing which was great because nothing is worse than an expense meal that you dont enjoy!

We went to the outdoor outlets (cant remember the name sorry!) and there are lots of designer stuff there BCBG, armani etc.  I got BCBG shoes for $20 and dress pants for $15 (regular $200+ here) so it was so worth it, we also made a stop in Tiffanys in Ceasars... also worth it!!!!!!

ENJOY!!!! I am overcome with jealousy and envy right now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
