I haven't received mail for two weeks now. Our RSVP deadline is July 1st, six days away!!!!

I'm really grateful we don't need to let my planner know final numbers until a week before. If I was having a wedding here at home, I would be SO screwed, as the final numbers would need to be in RIGHT NOW.

What I am most worried about is that any cards or letters will be lost in the mail, those are irreplaceable and also I will not know who to send thank you cards to. If I don't send a card to someone who sent a gift because it never ARRIVED, its going to look so bad on me.

The strike really does SUCK!  I am afraid some of our guests haven't gotten their invites and our deposit date for our trips is fast approaching.

I don't think much will get lost but it may be a significant backlog before it gets out to you when they get back to work.  Don't sweat the small stuff though, people will understand it is not you and it is the Postal workers!!!!!!

I miss getting my little pink RSVP envelopes in the mail. And I've ordered jewelry and other wedding stuff from Etsy and Ebay that I'm waiting on. Let's hope they can end this FAST!

Some people will be back at work sorting tonight, and mail service should resume tomorrow. I'm so glad we did phone in RSVP, got way better response and I didn't have to worry about any getting delayed or lost. Now it's time to start working on thank you cards.
