Recommended Posts

Dear JB, me and my FI went to do our wedding registry and Macy's yesterday and I didn't find your dress. So sorry, hopefully you'll find something great just as cheap. I am also looking for a second dress for TTD sesh, I'll keep an eye out on Ideli or other sales.

Sorry Ladies I have been on vaca all weekend with my lovely FI!! It was a nice little getaway!

JB, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the linen outside, how did you do that, glue it on top of the envelopes?? I def think that makes the invites :)

Jordan, welcome and I would be ssooooo excited to have another AUGUST 2012 bride!! I am using destinationweddings.com her name is Christine Kennedy and she has been awesome, if you want her info I can send it over to you!! I have gotten prices which I posted a while back I think for 4 day its about 340 pp, that is for land, taxes and transfers.

MoniWoni, I love the earrings!!

Jaime thanks for the info on the photographer, did she tell you who the DJ was??

I am trying to figure out what package I am going to do as well because I want amazing pics!!!

I wish there were more wedding pics to get a better idea of what to expect! Thanks for sharing the info though :)

Deesanders, welcome back! Hope you had a great mini vaca :). For the invites I just made a pocketfold to hold the passport and the RSVP card and envelope then glued on the linen fabric. I got it from the linen invites here, she actually had a step by step picture... pretty easy to follow. Just search linen invites and you'll find it right away, it was featured on the home page at one point. I thought you would be happy to find a potential August 2012 bride!

It really sucks we can't swap things, especially when they have a photographer that doesn't seem to have a wedding portfolio :( I googled him and everything! Anyone hear about who the DJ is?

Claribel recommended Florian Koetter (videopuntacana.com) for the videographer. Or you could use the resort's photographer, Ricardo, to do the video as well (i'm assuming he has an assistant) which comes with the divine package.

I didn't ask about the DJ.

Yea I am wondering about this photographer, I want one that is awesome though it is going to def cost more I am sure. I am starting to think HDC prob because I have heard amazing things about him. How much is the downpayment?? I am also debating on downgrading our wedding package and hiring our own DJ as well. I am soo annoyed that none of us can get an answer about this DJ

Thanks JB, I will def look into that! I can't wait to finalize our STD.. just waiting on my fiance since he is finally done with his rotation!! The vaca was awesome and much needed!

Hey ladies I need an opinon... We are sending out prob about at least 100 save the dates because my FI thinks that we need to invite EVERYONE so nobody gets their feelings hurt. I don't really agree with this in some ways but I def don't want to upset him so this is the solution I have come up with... For people that we are inviting that we are pretty sure that ARE NOT coming we are going to send the save the date along with the luggage tags RSVP and wait for them to respond, if by some chance they say yes I will send them a formal invite. If we are unsure or pretty sure they ARE going to come then we are going to send the STD and then a formal invite to follow with the RSVP with the formal invite. I am going to make the passports myself for the invites and I know this is going to take tons of time and money so I am trying to cut cost in some ways.. What do yall think???

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
