Hi Ladies!!!

 

I've faxed Nicole a wedding request with all the info but now I'm FREAKING out because she hasn't responded and it's been 4 days.  

 

In your (anyone's) experience...is Nicole usually this slow to respond? 

 

Do I need to take a DEEP BREATH? lol or is my freaking out justified??

Hi ShayF,

 

Nicole is that slow, slower even. I believe it's just her and an assistant who take care of all the weddings at the Suites, so they're busy AND run on 'island time'. Keep on her with email, and some women here have had luck getting a phone card and calling when absolutely needed throughout the planning stages.

 

When I was trying to book my wedding, the whole process took about 3 weeks, from my initial email, to her confirming receipt of the official form and confirmation of our date.

I'm working with Silvia at the Beach and it seems like she's just as slow.  It took her about a week to get back to me after my initial email.  I kept checking my email every hour just to see if she wrote back, I was just so excited!  But, they definitely run on Island time haha.  I wouldn't worry about it though....it seems like the norm.

Are you working with a TA yet?  My TA is on top of them if we don't get a response ASAP.  We always hear back quickly now when we have questions.  Get a good TA if you haven't already done so (I highly recommend mine, you can find her info on my wedding site: http://CourtneyMara.com/Wedding).

Hi Ladies!!  We confirmed our date a while ago, but I'm adding to the list!!

 

For those of you wondering about the WC response time.  It seems unreasonably SLOW!  I emailed the Beach on March 6 a list of questions and still haven't heard back!  I am going to visit in May and am hesitant now about the hotel.  I can't wait until a month before the wedding to figure out costs (and surprises!).  If we are having 50-75 guests they should be a little more responsive! I finally called my TA yesterday and she's going to take care of it. (I'm also not spending $50 on a 10 minute phone call either!)


Those of you at the Beach, who is your WC?  I thought Silvia was gone...

 

I wasn't going to plan visits at other resorts while we are there, but at this point I think its a good idea.  If there is another place more responsive, I may end up switching resorts.

This process of choosing a country to get married in, let alone a resort, has been so stressful.  Its hard trying to select a vacation spot that people will enjoy and be willing to spend all that money going to.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
