Has Anyone Hired a DJ through Lomas for Azul Sensatori or Azul Beach?

Recommended Posts

Our wedding will be April 7,2012. I am looking to book Dj Doremixx. His reviews have been great on this website. I have to check with my Wc who is Grace tomorrow. Sending in my contract. I know you have to pay the vendor fee. Wonder if it's the same for hair & makeup people too. I think if you pay the $500 they should allow u to bring ur own vendors. Hopefully it's not $500 per vendor. It'll add up. Guess I'll find out tomorrow

So we have to pay $500 per vendor but I believe they just upped it to $800. We are going with Dj Doremixx. Like one of the brides said it's cheaper than the dj from lomas and he's gotten such good reviews. My moh work for a dj company here in NY and her fiancé djs as well so music is super important. My wc is Grace Im waiting to get a call back from her because I have so many questions. I think for ceremony and cocktail which will be on the beach we will use an iPod and then for reception we'll have the dj. What is everyone doing? For Azul Beach brides I am having the reception on the Blue Terrace.

Thanks to you ladies, I was able to get DJ Doremixx too!  i love this board!  I am having everything on the beach as you need to have 50 ppl in order to get the blue terrace and I think I might be short on that number.  How is everyone's planing going?

I want Doremix too - I heard the other Azul DJs are simply not as good.  Haven't checked into Elizabeth Medina, although she is supposedly pricey, they say she is in the Del Sol category.  Hope my budget can take it!!!

Have you girls heard anything else on photographers recently?

It is outrageous that they know their DJs stink and yet hassle you about booking outside vendors.

Sounds like Lomas needs a lesson in marketing...You would think Karisma would lobby harder for this due to the down economy and competitiveness of PDC.

A great tool on this site to help you pick the right photographer for you is the review forum.  Head over here to see what the brides are saying about their photographers:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
