Uggggggg the more I hear about Moon Palace and their lack of contact the more I want to save my pennies and have it at Le Blanc, but then we would have maybe 3 people come due to cost :( I don't think I could handle the lack of communication with all the money being dished out! And WC's always leaving??? Id be so terrified. I couldn't handle a year of stress!!! Customer service alone makes me want to just pay the extra money. But I love the idea of a rowdier party resort with tons to do for everyone.

Ive learned from her to go around the WC's and book everything on your own. I'm 7.5 months out and have everything with contract planned now everything depends on the # of guests that are attending!

Hey Jamie, we can bring our own speakers? We have a Bose speaker as well, I didn't think about using it! Do you think it would be loud enough?

Yikes!  I am sooo sorry my dear!  You know what you should ask, is if you can still have a cocktail hour?  But have it after dinner and extend it to 2 hours!?!?  Or of course you could try this option before dinner too.  I totally know what you mean about wanting a "real" reception.  There are 20 of us and I didn't want to just do the dinner either.  If the cocktail hour doesn't work, I am sure you can head to the swing bar or one of the bars in the one of the lobbies.  For our cocktail hour, we are bringing our Bose player down, so we don't have to pay extra for the speaker we are renting for the reception.

No, you do not.  I have been to 2 destination weddings and didn't receive them.  I am doing them because it will be a surprise for everyone and I really wanted to show our appreciation with them.  However, we are not doing "favors" at the reception.  It's mostly family, so they won't even notice.

YAY!!  Can't wait to read it!!!

TeeHee....No she's a good friend whom my BFF that passed & I met in 2006 on our bday trip to PR.  She actually thought she told me but totally forget in the midst of some personal things that she was going through So I totally understand.  But I sure wish MP had more benefits after 75+ room nights.. it feels like I'm just giving them more business for no good.. LOL

No we don't go out like that and have always been invited, welcomed and asked to come back to wherever we go.  But you hear so much talk about Sunrise (what I initially asked for) but at that time didn't know that Ocean Fronts and Concierge's were pretty much here.  So since the majority of our guest have these room categories they put the other 9 rooms on this side as well.. which is great as we don't want to be spread out.

Does anyone know which lobby the shuttle that takes people to Sun and Beach pick up from?  How early do you need to get to there (if it leaves at 2- can you get there 15 min early and be fine?)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
