Love that look of the crisp white ethereal curtains against the sea...beautiful! If you're looking for some more photos, here's a Del Sol slideshow where you can see some different areas as well! http://www.delsolphotography.com/blog/content/galleries/?gal=396. Happy Planning!

I am just excited to bring in my own.

By the way, thought you 2012 brides should know that I talked to a supervisor today in the Miami office and she said that they are bringing in some new wedding collections!!!!  I am really excited because she mentioned that turquoise would be one of the colours featured!  I actually already bought a bunch of decorations that I was going to add in to the diamond package but oh well.  I am so excited to see what that is going to look like.  It won't come out for another few months apparently.

Just thought I would let all the ladies in on it!  She said you can switch later if we want.

Where is everyone?! :) Not much action on the Playacar board lately... is everyone off getting married? ;)

Just wanted to let you all know that my wedding website is up! Wanted to say thank you to Tanya for the activities information from her wedding website - it was very helpful!

I am getting married in June 2012. I have been working with Paula who is an actual coordinator at PP because the Miami office was all but helpful. Unfortunately Paola has quit and so now I have no contact at PP. Does anyone have a contact for an onsite wedding coordinator? Also Paola was sending me information on private events and decorations but I was wondering if the other brides who have weddings 6months away or more were able to book their venues for private events/reception? I am worried that the area I want might be taken and the MIami office is telling me I can't get any information until 3 months. Any information would be very helpful.

Thanks!

Taylor

Hi TRW26,

Our wedding is October 2012 and they won't let me do anything...  That said, my TA is doing a site visit in 3 weeks- (she happens to be on vacation with her husband!!)-  and hopefully I can get some contact info and someone good to deal with.  I will be more than happy to pass it along if and when I get something helpful.

I am worried about the same thing.  There are 3 weddings the same day as mine!  4pm, 5pm and 6pm!!  I'm at 36 guests and we are a year out still...  I have my heart set on cocktails and dinner outside- if the other brides want it too?  We're all screwed...

I'll be in touch...

Hi! I am fairly new to this site. My fiance and I have a short engagement and are getting married on Mar. 9, 2012. I'm a little overwhelmed with all of the planning that stills lies ahead. Any helpful tips would be greatly appreciated. We already have Teresa Stauring as our travel agent and she is amazing. Has anyone used J&S Audiovisual for their DJ? We are doing a beachside ceremony and reception and will need a lighted dance floor on the sand. Has any used J & S for this? Or DJ Mannia? Thanks! :)

My fiance and I did a site visit out there this October. The resort is a more intimate resort in comparison to some of the other all-inclusive resorts. I think there are about 206 rooms. We plan on having about 100 guests at our wedding and it seems to accomodate everyone. Our wedding is on Mar. 9, 2012, so we have felt the wedding planning crunch. We visited about 10 resorts when we were out there, and we fell in love with Playacar Palace. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The location is ideal because it is about a 5 minute walk to 5th Avenue, which is where all of the fun shopping and restaurant/bars are. I've been referencing a former bride on this site who had her wedding there. You should check out www. pierotanyaweddingphotos.com/pictures and use the keyword "MEXICO". Her wedidng website is a good reference too. www.mywedding.com/pieroandtanya. Hope this helps!

Kim

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
