I'm planning on getting married at Sandals Montego Bay in May 2012. Does anyone know whether Sandals charges additional fees for a private reception dinner even with the selection of a themed wedding (upgrade from the complimentary beautiful beginnings theme)? I'm dreaming of having the reception on the beach with a string of lights/lanterns for illumination. Any idea what this would run me? My FI and I are covering the costs of having our parents join us for one week so we need to be careful about how everything adds up. Thanks ladies.

Yes, the private reception is an additonal cost on top of one of the martha stewart themes, and Im not sure if all resorts are the same, but beaches T&C would not allow a reception on the beach for safety reasons.

What reception Option did you choose? I am getting married at Beaches Sandy Bay next year and I wanted to know how the private receptions work? Also did you have the option to have your reception on the KATT Cruise? If so how was it? I am trying to get as much infor as possible. Thanks :-)

We went with the 2 hour private reception, which was $50 a person, we did not take it on a KATT Cruise but if you could that would be a great idea, you should look into it, I wasnt given the option, we were given options just on property.
