Beaches ~ Turks & Caicos Roll Call!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! We have been browsing the site and have found it to be very helpful! We are planning either a Jan or feb, 2012 wedding. Haven't booked yet - are we already behind the 8 ball? Has anyone used destinationweddings.com as a TA? I'm leaning towards the bb package, mainly because it's free and extra tables are only $100. This should save us about $5000 over say the viw package with extra tables. Does anyone know if they use the same centerpiece for the extra tables with this package? Is it too plain? Thanks in advance for any assistance

Hi everyone! We have been browsing the site and have found it very helpful so far. We are planning a jan or feb, 2012 wedding, but haven't booked yet. I hope we are not too far behind already. Does anyone have any info on menus for the upgraded private reception? We do have some info, but we were hoping that we could give our guests an option for their main course at least. The packet we've received states that the b &g need to choose one option from each category. Thanks - looking forward to hearing everyones plans!

Thanks so much Timswife! I had the same info as Lizz, but this clears up so much! While I'm at it, here are a few more ?s: 1. What are the odds of my entire party being seated in one of the restaurants rather than doing the upgraded reception? We are expecting about 30-35 people (including ourselves and several children) total towards the end of Jan 2012 (Lizz I'm thinking 1/21/12 which I believe you had as your original dat. Did you decide to change it?) 2. Has anyone used natural touch flowers? How far in advance shield they be ordered! How did you get them there - shipped ahead or just packed in luggage? 3. When do couples have their first dance? During the standard cocktail reception? Do they allow you to hook up your iPod to a speaker dock for some music? We were considering one of the music upgrades. Any opinions on the dj vs the steel drum? I know I'll have many more ?s as time goes on (prob think of another one in an hour) so any help is much appreciated!!!:D

Hi Avelyad!

We are definitly booked for 1/21/12---3pm ceremony time, bc 4pm was already taken....and we booked last month, a year in advance!!

I dont know about having dinner in one of the restaurants, my TA said they dont take reservations for this many people, out of respect for the other guests at the resort. But then again, i have heard many girls say they did this, that their WC at the resort hooked them up...so i dont know!!!!

My other thought is that my guests are coming and paying so much, that us shelling out the dough for a private reception is the least we can do. I dont think i want to risk us all not sitting together in one of the restaurants, ya know? Thank god i have a year to decide!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
