We used the Beaches photographers and videographers for the day of the wedding (Jimmie was our photographer and he was great- the photos below were taken by him) and then took photos with David from TI the next day.  David was awesome to work with, I can't wait to see these photos!

I have more photos on facebook and kodak.  Please message me if you'd like the links.

More to come soon!

Best,

Jill

Thank you, that is who I ended up going with ( Island Importers). They even called me to make sure the colors were correct. 1-pray.gif

AmberDragon,

I originally was going to with a theme until I started getting ALL the prices for the different themes. So I decided to just opt for the beautiful beginnings package and add what I wanted on (I am on a limited budget). The fee is included depending on how long you are staying. I believe it is 6 nights.

Also, I received my email attachments from my ta via my wc.  I realized that the prices for the themes are very different.  We were debating the seaside serenade, but it's still a lot of money. The beaches site states that it's an additional $2500 while my attachment states that's $3200.  I need to email my wc and inquire about that.

Lastly, do we tip the officiant?

Thanks and happy planning!

I forgot to say that I just checked with the resort and they said that it is still if you stay 6 nights then the fee is included. This is what the agent sent me by email:

Weddings are responsible for paying government and documentation fees which is $400 in Turks & Caicos. All weddings that do not meet the minimum night stay requirement will be subject to a $750 processing and administration fee, which is inclusive of government and documentation fees. All fees are subject to change at any time. Reception is for bride, groom and 6 guests. Wedding themes can be customized with extra finishing touches.:

Just double check with your TA to see what is going on there.

Ladies that have been married already...I need your HELP :)

My fiance has now decided (14 days before our wedding day) that he wants to add the 2 hour private dinner to our wedding day. We were planning on just doing the 30 min cocktail reception and then a dinner at one of the restaurants but he's had a change of heart.

My question is...we didn't book this yet and Roxi is out of the office until Tuesday. Do you know if this is something that I can add at the resort with the onsite coordinator or do I need to book before?

Also for anyone that had the dinner, did you also do the cocktail reception? I hear the hor dourves are better at the cocktail reception. Or do they do they kind of combine it when you do the private dinner?

And last thing...we don't want to pay for the calypso band or DJ...can we rent an Ipod dock and play music that way? any ideas on pricing for that??

Thank you so much for any help ladies!!!!! My day is too close for this kind of stress!!! BangHead.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
