I am also planning a wedding for the summer of 2012 at Dreams Punta Cana! I am a teacher and so are many of my friends so summer works best. Has anyone been to Punta Cana in teh summer months (july, august)? I was wondering if should be book the weddding package/date directly by contacting Dreams or can it be booked through a travel agent? I feel so lost on where to begin and who to contact!

Hi! Veronica - I have 6/22/12 as my wedding date at Dreams Punta Cana. We chose summer because our wedding party has several teachers in it. I also had no idea where to start - I recommend contacting a travel agent (we used Liberty Travel, I visited their website and entered my info and got a phone call the very next day from a very knowledgeable person who has dealt with Dreams before. Once I contacted her, she contacted Dreams Punta Cana on my behalf and we went from there. Last week I put a deposit down on my date and am waiting to hear the next steps next week sometime. So I would suggest starting there! Congratulations to all the 2012 brides! Liss

The cost is definitely going to depend on the number of guests who decide to attend.  Have you looked at Dreams Wedding Packages yet?  There is a wedding calculator that I could send you if you send me you email.

Hi,I've been educating myself about their weddings through this forum since I've been engaged in Oct.lol...As of now I'm going with the free package.and going to add on from there. We want the beach wedding, hoping it won't be too windy...I know which @ terraces I want depending on number of people.I've ordered my save the date postcards & magnets from vista printidea.gif...It does depend on how many people so we've bee trying to figure out how much it would cost if everybody was a yes that way we don't underbudget ourselves.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
