Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Ladies, thanks for posting this info. I was not aware that Teresa left until now. That's weird that the resort would not issue a generic e-mail to explain the dilemma to all 2011-2012 bride?  My DW travel specialist put me in contact with Maria Gomez so I hope she is thorough as I approach my wedding day May 12, 2012.

On another note: My cousin got married here last year and some tips Teresa gave her was to select the chil-out package with buffet for 45 guest. Locations: gazebo cocktail hour, and then take the trolley train to Gabi beach. She encougaged her to only get wine and beer because there is an all inclusive bar is approx 50 yards away at the "Gabi Beach". Also, waiters can get drinks at no charge from this bar for your guest. Lastly, have fun and enjoy being a destination bride!

Continue to share, I love catching up:-)

Random related PPC note in case anyone is interested... Paradisus Punta Cana and Palma Real have iphone apps! There's a google map with restaurants, rooms, etc marked. Worth taking a look at.  Looks like once you're at the resort you can use the app to make dinner reservations, book activities, etc.

Oh good point. I think PPC is supposed to have free wifi? PPR does. If you're using 3g you're US provider is sure to charge you a pretty penny unless you have an international plan.

ATT and Verizon have international data plans available starting around $30 a month - not too bad for just a month. I might activate that just in case I need it.

I'm getting the international plan for the month of the wedding.  That way if people need to reach me before I am not being charged an arm and and a leg

Hi Ladies...I got back last Saturday from my wedding and honeymoon week at Paradisus.

I have to say that none of you ladies have anything to worry about.

Miguelina is the wedding coordinator at the resort. She is a doll. So sweet, speaks English very well and is VERY accomodating. All my details and everything about my wedding was more then perfect.

I to had Teresa plan with me and had worked with her for months and when i found out she was gone, i had a heart attack so close to my wedding. But Miguelina is very responsive and when you get to the resort you will meet with her and she will go over every detail of your day with you. On the day we met with her (day after we got there) we decided we wanted to host a welcome reception for our guests THAT NIGHT!!! She made us custom menu's and printed these cute menu cards and set everything up for us....i had never even booked anything with the resort, it was a last minute decision and she put it all together wonderfully for me on the day of.

I would say that if you are not happy with Lauren or whom ever it is that you were assigned to, just go ahead and email Miguelina. She is the one that will be taking care of you on the wedding day and when you get to the resort anyway :)

I have had the flu since i got back so I havent had much time to do my review and planning thread but i will but in the meantime dont hesitate to ask questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
