Paradisus Punta Cana (PPC) Brides POST HERE!!

Recommended Posts

Janet thanks so much as well as everyone else, it's so rare to find genuinely helpful people online! If we have the reception at poolside or the garden we would still be able to bring in a dj as well as dance floor? If so that's great! Has anyone seen poolside or garden reception pics? I'm getting so excited about Paradisus being a possibility after getting some answers from you girls! it's slot easier than emailing them.

Im actually an early planner as we are planning to have our wedding August 2013. We are hoping to do a site visit early next year as well as a few other resorts, Majestic Elegance, as well as Melia. I'm torn between Paradisus, and Majestic Elegance though :(

Thats great that you are planning ahead...gives you tons of time to get everything you dream of. no rushing :)

I have been to both. in 2009 i was at PPC and Last year my friend got married at Majestic Elegance in January and i was the maid of honor. Although a beautiful place, i felt that for the price (ME was more expensive then PPC at the time) i felt that PPC blew Majestic out of the water. PPC is a resort that takes your breath away, its absolutely beautiful and in touch with nature which i loved. Majestic was more about the pretty structures. PPC is also MUCH large so depending on your preference this may or may not sway you. Majestic is easy to get around and your guests will usually all be at the same place where PPC is more spacious so you may not always see everyone. Since i had been to PPC and lots of other resorts it was a no brainer for me to pick PPC. but everyone is different and has different tastes so you need to find the resort that offers you what you are hoping for the most. Make yourself a check list :)

Above is different pics of the pool side reception. She told me depending on the size of your party, there are many different spots about the pool that you can have the reception/bar/dj

Hello,

This is my first post on this site, but I have been reading faithfully for the past few months. I got engaged in March, and we will be getting married in November (only 3 months- ahh!) I want to thank everyone for being so open and helpful about their experiences with planning and executing the wedding. It has helped calm my major anxiety! I chose the Chill out Chic package, and we will be having our reception poolside. I have a couple questions, and would love some input. Has anyone had a reception poolside? Would we need additional lighting? Also, did anyone use the resort's centerpieces? We were thinking of bringing our own, but I don't know if it would be more expensive to lug all of the pieces down with us. Finally, with the ceremony on the beach, is it a good idea to get the additional beach floral decor? Or is the basic set-up nice enough on it's own? Thanks!!

I haven't gotten married there but I do know that Tersea said that they won't use your lighting you bring due to a fire hazard. They have all the lighting you can prob dream of I am sure or they can get it from an outside vendor. The centerpieces are up to you, just depends on what you want. For the beach ceremony I honestly don't think you need to add anything extra to the Chill out Chic package. I mean you are only going to be out there shortly! We are doing our reception poolside as well. It looks absolutely beautiful!! I actually posted pics of it above if you didn't see it.

Do you have their Picasa photo link?? That shows different ideas you can use.

I'm getting married on November 3rd- we'll be getting there on the 1st, and staying through the weekend. I can't believe summer is almost over and November is coming so soon! Deesanders33, thanks for the info! I took a look at the picasa photo link, and I think the beach set-up will be sufficient. What are you ladies doing for welcome bags for your guests? My mom wants to start getting supplies, but I'm not sure how much stuff should go in them. Thanks again!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
