Hi all!! I am new to this site ... ive been looking around some and I could REAALLY use some help!!! Im getting married on Oct 10th of this yr in St Thomas at Frenchmans Reef Marriott Hotels resort.

Has anyone personaly stayed there? How is the beach? Which places would you suggest for a welcome/rehersal dinner? How about fun activites outside the resort? Our budget is pretty small but I was wondering if I could find a less pricey place for the welcome dinner and or also the reception following the ceremony. I was thinking of doing the reception at the resort where everyone will be all inclusive anyways.

Any and ALL help would be MUUCCH appreciated!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a bunch!!

Vanessa

First off congrats on your wedding! I was a guest off a cruise at this resort and it's gorgeous!!! I can't speak to any of the questions you asked other than to let you know how beautiful it is. I know my friends who were married there spoke highly of the people they worked with. Best wishes!

The bride used Island Bliss Weddings Wedding Planner St Thomas Wedding Planners St John VI Wedding Venues Planning for on site WC for the day and I have heard a lot of great things about them

Here's the website for Havanna Blue HAVANA BLUE - Passion - HavanaBlue story

and she used DJ Eric Snow Eric Snow DJ At Large | Mobile DJ Services for St Thomas & St John who according to the photographer the party went on late into the morning because everyone loved him so much

Elisha Orin www.elishaorin.com was the photographer and she lives in St. Thomas. I love her work, she took the above pics of Havanna Blue and below of the Water Front Bistro.

I also featured another wedding where the guests all stayed in St. Thomas and for the reception went over to St.john to the Water Front Bistro, the menu makes my mouth water at this place lol Home

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
