Small guest list folks (20 or less)

Recommended Posts

Our wedding will most likely be between 15-20 guests.

For those of you with a similar guest list, which ceremony/reception sites feel intimate (i.e. not empty)? I don't want a beach wedding because I want to wear heels.

I really love the Villa Maria (I saw photos of a similarly small wedding/reception) for that. For such a small guest list, would you even bother with the AI route?

i just shot elizbeths wedding at las ventanas and it would be perfect for a smaller wedding. in fact she had about 20 guests. i will post some pics early next week. and the wedding isnt on the beach. las ventanas is the best place ive ever stayed in my entire life!!! i cant wait to go back :)

and i shot a wedding at villa maria last year. it would also work well. and you can stay there. if i remember correctly it has 4 bedrooms. beautiful place. we went back and drove around pedregal a few days ago.

both places are fabulous for different reasons.

yes they both were. im sure when elizabeth comes back she will be happy to tell you about her experience with las ventanas. honestly the word "no" isnt in their vocabulary. we needed all kinds of stuff for the BD with courtney - we had them fire up the fireplace, bring us a tablecloth and a ladder. never blinked an eye! im so spoiled after being there. i cant wait to post some pics from elizabeths wedding and day after but that will be a week or 10 days away so i can get caught up. she and ben rocked the day after session!!!

when i was looking at las ventanas (and this could have changed)...they had a $10,000 food and drink minimum for the private reception so that could be a little expensive for such a small guest list.

the one and only has a super charming chapel and the rooms are alot less than las ventanas...that might be an option.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
