Wow! Thanks for this...I'm hoping that most brides are flying into MoBay as opposed to Kingston.

        Thanks....
I've booked Heather Parker for my photographer for my April 2, 2011 wedding in Ochi Rios, Jamaica. If anyone is getting married in Jamaica days before or after me and is interested sharing her travel expenses to save few wedding budget bucks, let me know. Take a look at her work for Moon Dance...

Kingston is quite a distance away from where the weddings would be. My fiance is in Lucea and there are no problems over there. It shouldn't really spill over to other parts of Jamaica because this is over the alleged drug lord "Dudas" and his stronghold is in Kingston. Hopefully, it will soon be sorted out.

My wedding is in a couple weeks and I think the best thing to do for brides having their weddings coming up soon is to call the US Embassy in JA and let them know you'll be there just in case they need to get in touch with you while you're there. It shouldn't matter if your wedding is on MoBay, Negril or Ocho Rios. They may be more secure than Kingston right now but it' best to just be aware for yourself and guests.

                    Hello:

You are getting married the same day as my daughter. She is getting married at the RIU in Negril on June 5th. We are she going to pray and have faith that everything will work out and this does not spill over to other areas of JA. I will keep all brides with upcoming weddings in JA in our prayers. Thanks for the advise we will contact the US Embassy in JA.
