Key West is all good, no worries :) What a gorgeous spot. 3 months will go by so fast too :)

Hopefully the panhandle brides (Destin, Panama City, Pensacola etc) escape the oil sand spills too. I've been paying close attention to it.

I'm concerned about the oil spill too, but know that it's out of my hands and can't really worry about it. There's a daily report here:

Great website!!! Thank you!! I live on the Gulf Coast and so far we are fairing well against the oil. I will keep y'all informed in my area :). I will look for a panhandle website to post. I was just at a wedding last weekend near Destin, FL and it was beautiful!!! I too worry about the spill, but like you said it is out of our control and I know we can all mmake the best of it!!

Hi Ladies! I'm getting married near Panama City Beach in May of 2011 (guess I don't have to clarify that it's 2011 anymore!). Can't wait. We're also keeping an eye on the oil spill, who knows what will happen over the next year. So sad, but I'm trying to be positive and remember that there is much more at stake for the area than our wedding! Looking forward to spending some time here with you all:)

Hi Florida Keys brides! I am trying to come up with some fun stuff to put in my OOT bags. I know that there is a whole section on OOT bags, but I really want to know what you girls are putting in that really says Florida Keys?? I have to make around 40 bags. So far, the only thing I have found is some Key Lime candy that the bakery sells. I can see how these bags can get totally out of hand price wise! : ) So far in my fun little beach bag that I got from Oriental Trading (so cheap!) I have: Welcome Letter, visitors center info & map, 2 waters, 2 bags of chips, 2 granola bars, 2 pre-stamped postcards (one to mail to a friend/family member and one to send to us,) 1 bag of key lime candy and maybe a hangover kit (haven't done those yet, but they are so cute!)

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
