Organza chair sashes with satin/polyester table runner?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever seen different material for chair sashes and table runners? I'm a tad into detail and I want everything to match but there's no organza table runner in that exact color.

Has anyone ever seen them not be the same material?

Thanks!!!

I was thinking the same thing at first. I couldn't decide whether to do satin, organza, or both. I ordered some samples and after mixing and combining, me and the FI decided on Satin after I thought I had my mind set on Organza. The satin was just a deeper and more tropical shade. JMO but good luck deciding. When in doubt, order samples and play around like I did!

thanks! Yes I ordered sample from linendirect, table overlays, etc etc. but the one sash I like - no runner...

But it does seem like mixing fabrics might look odd, right? I've definitely never seen it.

I think depending on the table, you might be able to use a chair sash as a table runner. I think the only difference is the width (runner of course is thicker) But you can try to do a mock up and put the sash as a runner and see what that looks like too. IDK? Just another possiblity.

Thanks for the ideas! Didn't know we could use sashes for table runners.
