We are staying at the same hotel for the 2nd week as we dont get married until the 2nd week. As we have to be there 5 working days before we can marry excluding our arrival date and we arrive on a Friday. So we get married 10 days after arriving; just enough time to build up a tan and not have to worry about the wedding. I should be ultra chilled!!!! We will probably have a honeymoon in about May / June time - money pending - i think this will be a city break somewhere or a last minute get away.

HELLO UK BRIDES!! *Waves*

it's exciting to hear from people from the UK who are also doing the long haul route!

Weve booked the Moon Palace for our wedding, which is in just over 2 months time! wahooo!

We booked with Thisistravel (who are now teletext holidays) and got a good price, but we didn't do a 'group' booking, which i regret as we would of got so many freebies if we had.

we fly out on the 25th July and get married on Friday 30th.

We have 35 people (including us) coming

I have got most things sorted now. i am slightly concerned about how to transport a lot of the stuff over there, but im sure we'll be fine!

i can't WAIT!!!

Hey woodsylou - welcome along and wooo hooo you are only 2 months away - how exciting.

My main concern is also getting everything over as originally i had nothing to take - then i joined this forum and it put loads of ideas in my head! Think i will need another suitcase.

We have 18 travelling and did a group booking and we got quite a few freebies, discounts - but its a pain to be in charge of the money side of things - though we havent had any problems yet - and long may it remain that way! :-) x

I absolutely love the style of your dress its gorgeous - i toyed with the idea of a different coloured dress until FI mentioned - i dont really care what you wear as long as its white - lol - so that told me!! He hasnt had any say in anything else though :-) x
With regards to what the men are wearing we are going along the linen suit route with white shirt and blue tie - but i expect this will be a last minute thing as they are proving quite difficult!
We have gone for turquoise and gold - as there are only 18 of us going we have asked everyone to dress in these colours.

My dress - which will be here one day next week - whoop whoop

I have a tiara to match the waist band of the dress - as i know a veil would annoy me.

BM dress and flip flops (we have 2 adult BMs)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
