Hi Michelle,

I haven't used Shellac but I have had the Bio Sculpture gel nails, which is the same kind of thing in fact I have it on my nails now as I type lol.

It really is fab and you are right it doesn't chip, so will be perfect to have done before Mexico. I have a manicure included in my wedding package but will be going ready prepared with my shiny manicured gel nails.

Oh and your little girl looks adorable, bet she feels like a true princess in that gorgeous dress x

Nicy - I LOVE your hair it looks SO pretty :o) I had the same problem. I'd washed my hair the day before and the hairdresser said it was so soft i need to leave it a couple of days for it to hold better. So next time i will have dirty wedding hair ha ha. It does look really lovely though chick!!!

Joden - Really? They sound great.. I dont really want false nails put on as they ruin my nails and to be fair my real nails arn't that bad i just want them to look perfect and have a bit of protection on so they dont break... I rang my sister last night and she said her salon she goes to for waxing etc does shellac and she's going this sat for it to try it out. How funny is that. So she is gonna try and book me in too! I'll let you know how it goes. Failing that i will look into what you have, see if anywhere local does it :o)

Michelle, how cute is Scarlett!!....she looks gorgeous, bless her!!

How weird on the nails front, I went in the sunbed shop in Bromley near my work to book a course of sunbeds & they were advertising the Shellac nails & I thought I'm gonna ask the girls on the forum if anyone has had them....hahahahaha seems like all us brides are all thinking about the same things at same time....hahahaha....maybe we all have some kind of telepathic thing going on!!!!  Am going back in their at lunch so will ask about them, if they can do it in my lunch hour might give it a go & see how long it lasts....will let you know!!

Yeah, thats what Kathryn said.... I shouldnt have washed my hair, I thought i was doing her a favour though, i washed it that morning.... I dont think Mexico will be a prob though, as the sun, sand, sea, pool water etc will make my hair so dry and rough rough feeling that i think it will be ok.... :-)

Let us know how you get on with the nails :-) Lookas and sounds great though..... may have to invest for my toe nails maybe......????

xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
