i am booking right now with a local lady from edmonton, and now i'm thinking like... i'm not a very "sexy" person and feel like my photos might looks stupid because i'm like not really confident in in lingerie... i'm like 115 lbs and only 5 ft, so i'm like short and stubby.. and i just am kinda freaking!

so i'm thinking i might need to get drunk first because i dont know how to make it thru. lol.

does anyone have any tips to feel comfortable, sexy, and just get in it and feel great about the way you look??

thanks!

I had my BD shoot a few weeks ago and I'm short and stubby and do not feel sexy at all. I had a blast doing this though and it's great for your self-esteem. Have a drink before you start, play music that will help you relax and have fun, and take a friend.

ummmm i'm totally short and stubby and I did mine the same day as V and it was a fantastic experience. I didn't feel sexy at all, but when I got my pics back I was extremely surprised!!!! Its so worth it and I would suggest it to every woman no matter shape or size!

HIGH HEELS and TEQUILLA! I was suprised that I only had to do one shot...the awesome thing about the shoot is that your photographer should totally help you out with your first few poses. Search through the other threads and search online through pics that you like...practice some expressions in the mirror and have fun! Throw caution to the wind and rock it! :)

Make sure to have a make-up artist and a hairdresser so that you can feel at your best ! also - you don't have to wear lingerie if this is not your thing. You can do the man's shirt for instance. With high heels and not buttoned up, and maybe a hat ? it's very sexy !

You can also try the baby doll, it's less intimidating than the panty + bras !

I'm short and stubby also. I'm 5'2" and about 125lbs and my photographer used angles that made my legs look longer. I put on some pounds so I was definitely not feeling sexy and I'm so self conscious. But my photographer and i'm sure yours will also make you feel super comfortable and like your are the most beautiful person.

Definitely wear high heels, it helps elongate you and I agree with Ayita and I highly recommend getting your makeup professionally done. For photoshoots you wear a lot more make than you would normally, but it looks amazing in the pictures. Ask your photographer if she/he uses anyone.

Good Luck and Have fun!!

thanks ladies for all the encouraging words, so far i know to bring tequila and high heels... along with other things.. my FH doesnt have nice shirts though, he owns a concrete company so he's dirty all the time and doesnt dress up, just wears like jeans + a tee, maybe i could use one of his canada jersey's or edmonton oilers jersey's?.. i think it'd be a good shot wearing somthing of his, i'm getting excited, but i dont know where to find a hair and makeup artist... maybe i could go to MAC or somthing.. do they do that?

I had a couple of glasses of wine before hand to help me relax and feel comfortable. Once you get started and the feel of it you will know what to do and you will feel comfortable, just remember that he will love anything you do because he loves YOU!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
