The provide TONS of bottled water, so no worries there.

We brought our own Bose iPod docking station to use for ceremony and reception music.  We did use the included Caribbean trio for the cocktail hour though.  We had the Gold package

Hey Diva (and other recent Excellence brides) just getting my final arrangements in order as I leave in less than a week (eek!). How much did you (or would you recommend bringing) to tip the make-up and hair ladies at the spa and the WC at the resort? We're bringing tip money for everyday things, but I just want to make sure I have enough to take care of those who are taking care of me on my special day. I am more excited than you can imagine! Thanks for any input.

All I have to say was that booking my wedding at Excellence was the BEST decision I made! Everything was more perfect than I could have imagined.  All of my guests thanked me for choosing such a wonderful resort.  From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed we felt like royalty.  The only mistake we made was changing resorts for our honeymoon, everyday at Majestic Elegance we wished that we never left Excellence. Do not hesitate to book anything at Excellence, everything there is truly EXCELLENTE!!!

We are having our wedding at The Grand Palladium/The Royal Suites Turquesa, but we got engaged at The Excellence and now we are going to switch resorts after the wedding & go back to The Excellence for our Honeymoon!  Very excited!!!

Hi EPC Brides! I need your help!

I am getting Married March 2012 and have been doing some coordination with Griselda. I am using Julia Eskin and her husband as my photographers. I just got an email from Griselda saying that I was going to have to pay $500 for each of them to be allowed to come into the resort and do my photography!!! That seems absurd!!! I thought I was only going to have to pay the day pass for them. How is this possible? Has anyone else come across this or used an outside photographer other than the preferred vendor, photosouvenir???? I have no idea what to do about this, other than maybe book Julia a room at the resort for one night. That would be cheaper than paying the resort $1000. Any suggestions???

After visitin with my TA Excellence is now on my list of resorts I am interested in. And boy..I am VERY interested. I love this place!

Any opinions on it? From what I have seen, it may be a bit pricier but not much, BUT you the luxury is unbeatable for the price. And I have heard weddings are amazing here. I like that it is adults only as well. Any information would be GREAT!

Thank you in advance! I am on my way to the review area right now!

I have not tried to bring in an outside photgrapher but when I 1st received an email from the Wedding Coordinator they said that aboslutely no outside vendors without a fee. I feel $500 for each is VERY extreme. It would be cheaper to book them a room that day!!!

Besides that, how are the rest of your plans going? What package did you pick? I am undecided still on my hotel but Excellence is #1 so far, just trying to sort out how much it will cost and if anything is complimentary from past brides.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
