Hi girls,

2 other gals and myself, who are getting married at the Azul Sensatori the first week in May have teamed up with a photographer out of Florida.  We had a fourth with the date of May 6th but she hasn't replied to us in a while.  So, we are keeping our options open, and looking to see if we can find a 4th who's interested in a great deal.  PM me for details.  :o)

Ladies, this is my latest project that I've been working on - my photo sharing postcards.  I don't know yet how we will distribute them but we'll get them out some kind of way.  I've also designed and ordered some of my bridesmaids shirts to wear while we're getting dressed for the ceremony or at some point during the trip.  Now I just need to work on the invitations - I'm looking for a vector or graphic design that I love.  Oh, I ordered a flip book of our engagement pictures to go on the guest sign in table from Vista Print too since we're going to do the white board well wishes as a guest book.  I designed some bridesmaids hats but I don't know if I want to use them.  Tell me what you think!

The best thing about all of this is that I got everything for FREE, or close to it - $2.66 for the ladies' t-shirts- from Vista print and only needed to pay for shipping.

I've just received my invitations!  I'll post pictures when I have a chance :) I love them!!!

I sent my Save the Dates at the beginning of June.  We have an early bird booking deadline of November 15/10 and the final booking is end of Feb/beginning of March.

I'm also including an insert about our at home reception and our response cards request an RSVP to both events.

I am aiming to send them out at the beginning of November and asking for an RSVP by January 31/10.  The problem is I want to make sure people know about the booking deadlines (which are also on our website) for the wedding fairly early BUT I really really don't want to send another invite about the reception, so we're asking for a response about that as well.   I know it seems very early to send out an invite for the reception, but I don't see another way around it!

How is everyone else tackling this problem?

Your dress is really pretty! How hard was it to make the barefoot sandals? I was thinking of doing that for my bridesmaids and myself also.

Melly - I'm sending out a separate invite for the AHR simply for 2 reasons, 1. we aren't telling people we are having one yet so they don't use that as an excuse not to go to Mexico, and 2. because we only invited a select few to Mexico anyway so we have to make more invites anyway.

Nan - those shoes are cute....here are my shoes, the first pair are similar to those actually, I'm not sure about them yet, I was going to go barefoot but my whole wedding party towers over me (I'm 5'2) but I'll definitely be wearing the green ones for the reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
