Hey ladies!! Wow time sure is flying by! Some of you are under 99 days left! So exciting! I am in the process of getting all the little details done and out of the way. I'm working on the OOT bags, ceremony programs, menu's, signs/tags, etc. Things are coming along but I do feel the pressure to get everything done. My bridal shower is next month, followed by my 30th bday and bachelorette party both in May...then we leave to Cabo on the 8th of June so I pretty much feel like there is not much time left! How are you all doing with your planning?

Hi Knbell! Looks like you have things under control! I can NOT believe we are getting so close! For the longest time it seemed so far away and now it's going to be here so soon!

Things are going well for us. Everyone finally got moving on booking airfare despite the price increase lately, so that has eliminated a lot of stress for me. Menus are done and invites are in the mail! I have a few more things I'm still hunting for to finish up the OOT bags - mainly travel size aloe which my Target has yet to get, grrrrr! With that being said though I have no idea how we are going to manage to get everything down there!

We just have a few things left to do...fans, place cards, bar signs, etc. but other than that I feel like we have most things done. I will probably get in contact with all our vendors within the next week or so though just to be sure there not going to be any unwanted surprises at the last minute!

How is everyone else doing?

Hey Donnie!  It really is so CRAZY how time has just flown by and our weddings are right around the corner! I still feel like I have so many little things to do.  Sounds like things are going good with your planning :)

I have the same concerns about getting all this stuff down there! Are you taking a lot of stuff down with you? We are thinking we will spread a few things amongst some of our family (mo, sister) are trying to spread a few things amongst our family (mom, sister)  and then pack the rest in suitcases.

We still haven't purchased our airfare because fares have been so expensive! We have a friend who works for alaska and she said there were still 105 seats open on the flight so I highly doubt fares will go up even higher.  So we are just going to wait a bit and try to catch a deal.

I still haven't decided exactly on what flowers we are using for the centerpieces.  Working on that now with our florist.

When do you arrive in Cabo?  Are you staying in cabo for the honeymoon?

Knbell, sounds like you have things under control! I think we are at about the same point in planning, which is a relief for me! It's good to see where other people are. Our plan for getting everything down there is the same...spreading things out to whoever has room in their bags. If worse comes to worse we'll upgrade to first class for the flight down, which on American gives you 3 free bags. Our plan is to use duffle bags for the wedding stuff. That way we can roll them up and thrown them in our suitcases for the trip home.

Flights are crazy! We had several people holding out for a price drop, but then once all the madness happened in Egypt, etc people got nervous about gas prices and bit the bullet. We still have about 5 people holding out to see what happens. I think we have 37 confirmed right now with either hotel, airfare, or both. We were originally expecting about 50, so I'm not sure if we'll have some people book at the last minute or not. Either way I'm happy.

We arrive in Cabo on the 5th. Our wedding is the 10th and most guests are leaving the 12th. On the 12th we're heading North to Todos Santos for a week. We'll have our honeymoon there at Rancho Pescadero. I am sooo excited for that. It was just voted as one of the most romantic hotels in the world by travel and leisure, and just last night I found a great article in Food + Wine about it. I'll need a week of nothing but relaxing after the wedding week! What are your honeymoon plans? Are you guys planning on coming into downtown Cabo during your trip? I know it's going to be a busy week for us both, but I would love to meet up for a drink!

Hi Ladies,

Just had to share...my local target finally got the $0.99 travel size aloe!!! While I was there I also picked up single use Tide detergent packets for everyone since each of our villas has a washer/dryer unit. So, this means my OOT bags are DONE!! Yea!!!! Now I just have to restrain myself from buying more goodies, we already don't have room for what we have!

I also sent out confirmation e-mails to all our vendors this week. So far I have gotten confirmation from everyone but the florist...but I have faith I'll get an email from her any day now! Gives me peace of mind because I have a terrible fear of getting to Cabo and having missing vendors!

Where are all our June Cabo brides??? How's everyone's planning going - we should all be at or close to the 3 month countdown!!!

Hey Donnie!

It definitely sounds like we are at similar points in our planning :)  So far we have about 44 guests who have either rooms or airfare booked so we are hoping our number doesn't get too much bigger than that!  We were originally budgeting for about 50 (which was our high end of the count) but then had some "extra" family from FI side added last minute so now we may even get to 65...I am hoping NOT!  haha.  It makes it sort of difficult to get my OOT bags and other small things completed without knowing yet how many we are working with.

Our rsvp date on our invites was March 11th and so far we have more people booked than actual rsvps received in the mail.  It's been pretty fun receiving them in the mail though...we had a "no"reply  that was accompanied with a check so that was nice :)

Have you had your wedding gown altered yet?  I am taking mine in early next month.  I purchased my gown up in Orange County but I didn't really want to keep driving back and forth so I decided to just find someone local to do the alterations.  I am still on the hunt for my shoes and jewelry.

We arrive on the 8th and decided to stay in Cabo for the honeymoon, but we are changing hotels so on the 13th we will leave dreams and head to our honeymoon hotel.  We are looking into either the One & Only or Esperanza...still deciding.  If we have time to somehow meet up for a drink I would love to!!

I'm starting to get really excited !!!  Aren't you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
