I agree about the planning threads! They're my favourite thing about this forum and all of us are such ridiculous planners and it's going to be insane!! I've started working on mine and saving it as I go along. I don't think we'll have internet the week before I leave (yay moving into a new house a week before I leave!) so I'm going to try to post it a day or two before we move. Fun fun!!

Thats just insane!!! I cant believe that since you ordered them so long ago! I would def ask for my money back too, well if you like the ivory or white ones you can order those from where I ordered them from and they came in like a couple of days.

Erin Congrats on finding a venue. So happy for you!

Brandy Those invites ROCK, Rebecca is so talented. I love her work!

Laura-sorry to hear you are having a hard time finding bathing suits, I will be sure to check at the old navy near me and let you know if I find anything.

Teira-Don't stress about the AHR, I find it is alot easier to plan than the destination wedding, not so many little project to do. just the basics, decor, booze, dj and food but then again I am making mine like a reception but not so formal with none of the extras.

Brandy, I ordered the orange ones...  I thought about ordering the white or ivory, but I don't know as if I want to order anything from them....  I mean, they totally gave me the run around, and then lied to me on 2/25 (a Friday) saying they were in the warehouse and shipping the following Monday...  I like the white & ivory ones... I just don't know...

Erin that sucks about the shoes!! Have you tried Zappos.com? I 'm pretty sure they have everything and their shipping was pretty speedy! We haven't picked a date yet because it really depends on the venue. Though now that FI's aunt is terminally ill I think we'll be moving it up, since it will mean so much to FI if she can make it. We may end up having to rush somthing together at a lounge or restaurant last minute. I'm thinking about maybe a cute and trendy brunch tea party or a cocktail reception (cause hey if they wanted the royal treatment those guests could have come to Mex!), rather than a full blown reception.

Thanks Brandy!! I am actually still debating about the length! either 18" or 22". I'm a total shorty (5'3) so I have to see how they look when I hold them up cause I don't want to end up looking like Cousin IT!

So I started composing that message a while ago and didin't send and have missed so much since lol

I can't stand it when vendors make promises they can't keep Erin. good for you for gettting your money back.

I soooo need to start on my planning thread but I think I will end up doing mine when I am back rather than before, I know, not how I am supposed to do it but better late than never. I will also be giving a review to my resort.

Mocha-I think the chocolate bar idea is a great one. For sayings, i really depends on what tone you want to portray, for caramilk you could just use melts right in your mouth! maybe too riske!

Hahaha Meggers, that is totally how this Sudbury girl is doing it! Dad's back yard on the river with a large tent. I am of course adding linen and NOT doing the plastic plates or cutlery lol

I am dying to see your extensions!

Ok so review on Zoom whitening. In the office they looked super white but two days later I still see a difference but not a huge difference and I find it kind of discolored some of my teeth where it is super white and others still the same. Not very noticeable but I can see it. No sensitivity now except the day of I had a couple of sharp shooting pains and that was it. Overall worth the $99 I spent but would not pay the regular price for it! (note, I do smoke and drink diet pepsi like crazy which was recommended I don't do within the first 48hours as that would hinder the results a bit) I am going to use the strips closer to the wedding to brighten it up a bit.

Oh Meggers what I would give to be 5'3" LOL, Im like 5'1" 5'2" on a good day and my hair is all the way down to my lower back, if your curling it really nice you wont look like cousin it lol!

Erin I ordered mine through advantage bridal, and I got them in a few days you ordered from somewhere else right? I got the ivory ones.

Meggers, I have checked with zappos, I actually ordered two pairs of sandals from them and they had great shipping time.  I will definitely check them again now that I need another pair!  I had ordered these other shoes in December as a pre-order...looks like I won't make that mistake again.  I also understand completely what you are saying on the moving the date up and doing something a little different.  I really like the idea of that!  If you don't have that many guests, it could totally work!  We have about 130 on our list to invite, so I can't get away with something like that...

Lisa, I'm glad to hear the whitening went okay....  I've always wondered how well it worked though.  Of course you did a couple of things they recommended you not do, but...we have some things we just can't live without, right?!

I think I'm going to start working on my planning thread this weekend.  I haven't done ANYTHING with that...  I have taken a lot of the pictures for it, but I haven't actually started!

Lisa, the aquafresh white trays are the best!! I love them, I wont buy any other at home products, they dont make your teeth sensitive or anything and I notice a big difference after one use and they look really great after 3 uses, your supposed to use it for 7 days but Ive never used it for more than 3 days in a row bc that gets my teeth pretty white after that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
