Meggers - loving that dress with the straps removed.

Lisa - after the alterations all your dresses look beautiful. It's so exciting to be able to wear all three.

Teira - So glad you had a great bachelorette. You look amazing and we can't wait to have you back as a married woman.

Laura - Your mom did an amazing job it's so cute and a perfect fit.

I finally got home at 1 am on Saturday morning and it has been nonstop ever since. A few of the neighbors took me for a girls night out on Saturday. We went to a steak house and  then a martini bar. It was such a great time relaxing and just enjoying an evening. Of course, the neighbor boys took FI out and got him beyond trashed.

Yesterday we went cross border shopping but were both so exhausted from the night before that we didn't get nearly as much accomplished.

Yay, only two more weeks of work, and normal 40 hours weeks!

Meggers-  Great dress and the extensions look perfect!

Tris- I still can't believe all of the other household stuff you've been doing this whole time and that you've managed to stay sane!  That alone deserves a congrats:)

Lisa-  All 3 dresses are fun!!

Teira-  Your bachelorette party looked like a blast.  Best wishes on your trip today!  Enjoy every second.

Laura-  Adorable dress!  That's cool that it all came from the left over fabric from your dress.  Best wishes today to you also!  Can't wait to see pics:)

I'm finally starting to feel human again after being knocked on my arse by this flu since last Tuesday.  Poor FI is still sleeping in the guest suite since I'm up coughing the majority of the night.  I'm starting on a steriod pack today, so I guess I won't have any problems finding the energy to finish packing, huh?!?  I'm going to be running around like a mad woman.....

All that we have left to do is:

-pack

-fill out our license info

-get FI's suit pants altered in length

-pick up FI's ring

-get my ring rhodium plated

We leave Saturday!!  I can't believe how quickly it's gone by, and I'm thankful for you ladies and all of your ideas and support:)

Thanks Ladies. I am just glad that no money was waisted on the dresses and I will be able to wear all three for something!

Laura and Teira-Have a blast and enjoy every minute of your wedding week! We will miss you and can't wait to hear about all the details when you get back.

Sherri-Must be so nice to be home even though you are STILL running around like a mad woman!!!!

Welcome MrsGatc!

Greys- I am glad to hear that you are starting to feel human again and can finally get to your last minute items! Good luck with everything and enjoy your time off and your wedding week!

You ladies are all going to be so beautiful on your wedding days and I am so anxious to see pics and hear all of the sappy details. :)

I am now feeling under the weather also. I guess it was bound to be my turn! I stayed home today to relax and try and get some last minute projects done. Also organizing my suitcases. Looks like i am going to have quite a few to bring down but thank god for family as they have given me alot of their luggage space and luggage!

Wow...everyone is leaving it seems!  I know there are still a few "regulars" that don't leave this week...  I think I'm going to be all alone come the end of the month.  Speaking of which, welcome to the newbie on this board.  I'm sorry I can't remember your name now (I had four pages to go through), but you are the day after me!

Meggers, your dress looks great!  Also glad your jewelry came in, now you don't have to stress about that anymore!

Lisa, I love all of your dresses!  They all look great on you!!

Teira, the pictures from your bachelorette party looked like a lot of fun!!

Mocha, I'm glad to hear that you are now home, and you had a great weekend!

Today I'm home sick.  I woke up this morning feeling so sick...and decided I was going to stay home to lay low so it doesn't become something worse, if I can help it.  This weekend I was able to do a bunch of shopping (I love Old Navy!), I did our seating chart that I emailed to the WC this morning, and I finished the play list.  We have about an hour more that we need for music, but I decided I didn't want to cut any more songs out, and we'll just do a shuffle and whatever plays, plays!

I also wanted to share that I'm having some anxiety now...  I have three weekends left.  Two which will be spent at one of my stepson's basketball tournaments (one is out of town), and the third weekend is Easter...  I can't believe it's coming so soon... I knew it'd get here, but since I was originally supposed to get married last September, it's always felt like the day would never come!

I'm happy to report that I'm ALL PACKED!!!!!!  I'm so proud of myself!  Managed to get everything in 1 suitcase, 1 duffle bag and 1 carry-on knapsack :D and then my dress is my carry on :)

SO..... FI and I are sitting down right now putting together music for the ceremony and toast and such...

Call us CRAZY, but this is what I'm walking down the aisle to! ahahahaha

so I'm finally on the mend. I was in bed for 4 days straight! Now I realize how much I still have to do! Good thing I have all of next week off before we leave on thursday.

The FI and I started making our playlists - I'm digging this part! super fun.

I can't wait to be on the beach and feeling the sun. We miss the sun in vancouver ;-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
