It has been quiet on here today!  Normally when I log on there are pages and pages for me to catch up on. 

 

Welcome to the new ladies who have joined!  I love that there are some May brides on here too:)

 

I just met with the owner of our venue for our AHR and I'm excited.  We picked the menu (pending FI's approval of course) and picked our wines to offer.  We're going to have a staff member hand champagne to our guests as they enter to kick the party off on a fun foot.  We are also picked our wines and beers, and are going to offer several cocktails.  Does anyone know of any fun signature drinks we could offer?  

 

After that meeting, I met with our florist along with our coordinator for our AHR.  I'm really excited about the things our florist will do with our space.  Our AHR is in a wine bar that is owned by one of my BF's fathers, so he's letting us have it all night.  It will have a cool, metropolitan feel with lounge furniture and high top tables.  I think we're going to hire a cigar roller too, since our space has a great patio.  We just want our guests to have an amazing time.

 

On another note, is anyone hiring someone to videotape your wedding?  We will show a slideshow of our pics at our reception, and want to also show a video of our vows, but the quotes I've gotten from Maui for 2ish hours with quick turn around are $650!  Is it worth it?

Yep, I asked for 20 pink koozies and 20 orange koozies all the white imprints, I received 40 orange koozies 20 with white imprints and 20 with pink imprints, I would keep them but the orange with pink impriting is hard to even see! I dont know what to do!!!!!

Brandy - i cant even believe after all that time waiting and they got the order wrong! That is awful business! Id make them refund you your money fosince you wont be able to get new ones in time! Maybe they'll let you keep those anyways tho since they wont have any use for them with your info on them?

Teira, I think thats what ticks me off the most is that I waited so long for them and then when they finally did ship I was so excited to get them that I forgot all about the fact it took so long but then I open the box and its not even worth the wait and they are wrong! Its really ridiculous I mean why would you even ship something like that out, he had to know that it looked bad, I mean some of them the lettering/design isnt really even on there and you cant even read it at all, it just looks plain terrible!

Aww Brandy that sucks!  The orange and white look good, though...  I would call/email the guy and tell him you are really not happy.  See if he can put a rush on getting pink and white ones right away (for no extra charge obviously) without you having the ship the orange and pink ones back first?  The good thing about ebay is that most sellers are so scared of negative feedback that they try to be accomodating.  i bet he was just hoping you were a pushover who wouldn't say anything about the crappy work he did - obviously he knows that they aren't acceptable when you can't even see the imprint!

Do you think he got more than his kidney taken out? Sorry, that was in poor taste, but I just had to say it cause I'm pissed off for you!!  Contact him ASAP and tell him he needs to redo it based on your proof approval (hopefully if you have in it writing you can copy that approval in your new email) and ask if he would refund part of your purchase to make up for all the stress he has cause you.  If that doesn't work, I'd file a report with eBay and have them give you your money back, that's just unacceptable!
