I am still working a bit on mine, i also worked in a sand ceremony script. When I finally finish it I will post. We also are creating our own vows and with that i dont know where to start either!

Char - I love your dress & head piece! they are going to look so great together!

 

Lua- great luggage tags! I have been undecided on doing them but after seeing yours and brandys it makes me want to do them!

 

You ladies sure have been busy on here today! I love catching up and today is my friday with 3 days off coming up and i am in seriour wedding mode!!! Sooo much to do! FI attire is one of my biggest stresses! I have NO clue what to have him wear! i know most guys wear white or tan suits but FI is pretty pale so im afraid it'll wash him out and wont look so good and i love the look of a traditional tux but am afraid FI will die of heat stroke if he wears one, considering a black linen suit? what are your thoughts?

 

And just out of curiousity what songs are you ladies using for your first dance? we've narrowed ours down to 4 songs : Better Together - Jack Johnson,  Livin' Our Love Song - Jason Michael Carroll, Just the Way You Are - Bruno Mars, & This Years Love - David Gray .... having a tough time deciding on THE one!

 

And finally here are the pics of the 2 TTDs im choosing between, please excuse the awful pictures FI isnt the best photographer and the bra i had on makes it look like i have Pamela Anderson boobs so please excuse the massage boobage

I absolutely love the song Better Together by Jack Johnson. I think that's in our tops for our first dance....there is one live acoustic version that merges that song with another of his called Angel, it's a great mix, I think the album is called En Concert. It's even more special for me since my FI picked it as his favorite which makes me swoon!!

 

Also, I just *splurged* on a custom cake topper from Etsy. I'm in a wedding frenzy today:) I'm just buzzing with excitement!! I have been waiting for the new year to begin planning and now it's on!!

Teira - they both look great, but I think I like the second one best.

 

Glad to see I'm not the only one having problems with FI attire. He complains that I haven't asked for any help from him, but he hasn't completed the two main things I asked for; attire and music play list. BangHead.gif

Teira - love the dresses!! if I *had* to pick, I'd say I like the 2nd just a bit more! ;)

 

FI was actually home on time last night so we had our weekly *date night* instead of me playing around with luggage tags lol Tonight is his workout night though so I'm going to go into luggage tag assembly mode after supper :)

Char-the hairpiece and dress are both stunning!!!!

Teira-I'm with Brandy on this one, I like #1. I don't even have one let alone four songs. I have no idea what to choose. FI wanted a sheriff song or lonestar but I am still not sure about them.

Lua-Love the luggage tags. So professional looking!

On another note!

 

Question about gifts from guests. How is everyone handling this issue. I know that even if you tell people not to bring a gift or monetary gift with card they still will. Europeans always give cash and I am worried about how to accept the gifts down there and also where to store anything received. What are all you guys doing? Anyone having a card box at their reception?

thanks Lisa! as for gifts from guests, we plan to make it clear that we do not want gifts in our 'thank you for booking' letters that we hope to send out next week with the luggage tags. Hopefully everyone listens as we don't plan on brining anything to accept gifts down south.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
