Sorry to hear about the hubby! Stay focused on the important thing-you are going to be marrying your LOVE soon!

Cute maracas!

Sorry to hear about the WC drama. When you get there all of the final things will be sorted and you'll be able to relax with a drink in your hand!

Oh good... I am glad to hear that others are doing 1/person.. I am thinking I will probably stick with that then... We are also doing the shake for a kiss tag. I designed them on vistaprint as business cards and was able to get them for only the cost of shipping. Although I have an excessive amount since business card quantity was large, but maybe another BDW-er would use them

So what does everyone have left to do to get ready for their weddings?

All I have is our legal day (nov 30), attaching programs to our raffia fans, purchasing and attaching tags to maracas in mexico and figuring out how to pack everything! :) I think that is it, so I am feeling pretty set. I am sure I will think of little stuff up until we leave but I am okay with that. Our AHR isn't until the end of March and we've gotten all the big stuff done for that, so I figured I didn't have to worry about the smaller details until after Mexico

Any suggestions. It is such a help. I thought about ordering and buying them ourselves in Playa - but this will be such a time saver!!

I am so sorry to hear about your wedding coordinator hopefully everything ends up working out. It was not hard writing on the maracas and I got a coupon from Amols so I got free shipping. The type of pen I used to write on the maracas its call Extra Fine Deco Color Opaque Paint Marker, I hope it helps and you can't beat the price $1.95 for a pair. I am giving one maraca per person. I am planning to placed them on top of plates as a wedding favor.232323232fp63277nu32874438-8WSNRCG3.jpg

You are so good you must feel relieve to have everything major complete. I need to make programs, menus, decorate my fans, Placed cards, Thank you letter, Flower girl dresses, my accesories, its so many things I am planning to ask my bridesmaid to help me out I am feeling the pressure. I also think packing everything will be a challenge. Most of my family have offered to helped me out so that makes me feel better.

I love the maracas! Such a cute idea (& definitely cheaper than luggage tags, which I'm doing...).

I think I'm all done! Whoo! Well, I'm taking my dress in on Monday to have it taken in a bit, & I need to buy another bikini...but other than that!

Congrats everybody!

Wow...the last 24 hours have been crazy!  We were to get married a month from today at the Grand Riviera Princess (where the explosion happened).  We found out yesterday that the Riviera side where we were staying will be closed until January, and were given the option of 4 resorts to choose from to move to.  We are now booked in at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum!  All of our guests and us have been switched at no additional cost, and they even had our exact wedding date and time available.  The flights remain the same as well.  I'm just in shock, the last year of planning at a certain resort, and now a month from our wedding it's changed.  But - I'm a firm believer in everything happens for a reason, so I'm just going with it!

Anyone getting married there?

Anyways - just wanted to fill you all in, and ONE MONTH TODAY I will be marrying my best friend, yay!

Wow Angie, I was thinking about you yesterday, knowing that you were getting married at the Grand Riviera Princess, and was wondering what was going to happen with your wedding! I am so glad you and your guests got switched to a new hotel so easily! I would have been freaking out!!! I have heard wonderful things about the Gran Bahia Tulum. It was definitely one I was considering before I chose my resort.

Congrats on getting everything worked out and good for you for having such a good attitude about it all! It's going to be amazing I'm sure :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
