I AM FREAKING OUT! MY WEDDING IS JUNE 10! WHAT IS GOING ON? No one seems to be answering my emails! I received an email from Mayte two days ago saying she is checking with vendors, which makes NO sense since she was fired over a week ago!! I am trying to access the Facebook groups, but I am waiting for permission and in the meantime freaking completely out! Someone, anyone, please....!

Call Issac (the Jellyfish contact) at 954-2815592 ext 1. Or you can call the restaurant directly at 809-868-3040. The owner (Gabriel) almost always answers the line. Have you sent an e-mail to jellyfishrestaurant@@gmail.com yet? We are having our wedding there in 9 days and they have been VERY responsive with us ever since we first found out about this fiasco. Mayte is trying to bring you over to one of her restaurants, so if you are looking to leave Jellyfish, you should call and e-mail her asap. If you think you want to stay at jellyfish, make sure you call/email them to get and stay on their radar.

@@blueskadoobob Thank you so much. I got access to the facebook pages and have been in contact with Mayte. At this moment, I have little trust in Jellyfish since they have absolutely none of my wedding plans and I had to contact them first to get answers. They were very quick to respond, which I will give them, and I spoke to someone on the phone this morning, but the way this was handled was completely unprofessional.

LADIES LADIES LADIES!!! I have received TWO quotes from brides today - they each were quoted about a month ago for their wedding from Mayte and they received their quotes from Isaac today - AND THEY WERE MORE EXPENSIVE, especially for decor!! Isaac told me specifically that the prices will remain the same, that nothing will change, and that decor "should be even less" - and now it's more!! One of the brides was quoted almost $1000 MORE for decor by Isaac!!!

 

But I will try to come here and continue to keep you ladies as updated and informed as possible. DO NOT LET THEM MAKE FOOLS OF US!

I just read the last few pages of posts and i'm freaking out as well. My wedding isn't til January 2015 but I really love the JellyFish but part of it was because of Mayte and her beautiful work. 

 

I would appreciate any feedback from new jellyfish brides (post Mayte) - I tried to join the Facebook groups to see pictures from recent weddings but I haven't had my request approved yet. 

 

Does anyone have any direct links to photographer websites that photographed recent weddings there?

 

I've read that people are asking for refunds on their deposits - what are you planning to do? where are you planning to have your wedding?

 

ANY information would be greatly appreciated!

 Hopefully by now you got access to the FB page. Don't worry, I was freaking out too and my wedding was in a few weeks. Mayte is doing weddings at Huracan now (and renovations will be done) and is looking into other options for her brides. After the initial shock wore off, I asked for my refund back from JF and I'll continue to work with Mayte. It'll all work out! :)

Do you have Mayte's new contact information? I would truly appreciate any information you can provide. I only booked Jellyfish because of Mayte and now I am freaking out!

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
