Flight Prices to Jamaica

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I haven't seen a thread on this so I apologize if there is one already. What is everyone paying or planning on paying for their flights to Jamaica (MBJ)?

We are flying out of Chicago and I have been told to plan on spending $300-$400. Is that accurate?

Also, for those of you that were able to negotiate a group rate, what airline was/is that with and what was/is the discount?

Thanks for the info!!

I've meaning to ask as well what are the flight/airline options from the Chicago area? I need to fly my photographer(Heather Parker) out from there and I'm not sure what's available, since I've read on here that Air J shut down the Chicago hub!

Thanks in advance!

My photographer is flying from Chicago and I have been following prices daily since November last year on kayak.com and $300 - $420 seem about right price. When you consider flights remember that some airlines charge for checked luggage even though Jamaica is an international destination. American & Delta don't charge for the first 2 luggage pieces but USAirways charges for luggage, $23 online or $25 if you check luggage at the airport for the first bag and $32 or 35 for the second luggage. It's something to consider when you are making your booking.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
