Terpgurl - I know that pressing is pretty cheap. My dress only cost $36 and I think the guys shirts were $8. Make sure you do it right away though. Hubby was starting to get ready for the wedding when he realized his pants weren't there. Minutes before he was supposed to leave one of the staff came running down the hall with his "hot" pants. We also should have had our wedding stuff cleaned before we left. I ended up putting my dress in our front load washer, but hubby's suit is still in the bag.

ugh!! 5 nights away would totally frustrate me!!! at this point I'm like 15 away and already making plans to pay that rather than all the private events!

The only room nights that count are the ones through your group contract, whether it's set up with MP or through a TA. It made me so angry that my MoH booked through her own TA to save $200 when I would have just paid the difference to have her included in our group. We were only 5 nights away from the 75 and would have gotten way more money back than the price difference. And she would have been in the same section as us in Sunrise. Plus, with our membership, we got way more than $200 in extra included things. If you're unsure of how many qualifying nights you have, your WC can tell you from their rooming list.

1. Does anyone have a list of the outside vendor photographers that MP let's you bring in? I am hoping to just do a day pass versus the night stay?

 

2. How do I go about getting in touch with a WC at the resort before the 3 month mark? Or should I just wait??

kris10kay - To get assigned to your Cancun WC, just tell the Miami dept that you want to reserve some specific locations for private events and they should provide you with the Cancun contact.

Great! I hope the girls dresses are too much to get pressed. I would like to offer to pay but my fiance wants to hurt me b/c I keeping spending money. You don't really see how things add up till you write it down:-(

I think you Del Sol is one of their approved outside vendors. I think you can get away with a day pass for a photographer but I just opted for a room b/c I just wanted to play it safe.

 

Do you have a wc assigned? I requested mine so they just told me ok and gave me her email address.

I've heard of a lot of brides on here using Sashca Gluck as well... for the outside vendor day pass, some brides have said it is a $500/day fee and then some said it changed to an $800/day fee, either way, it might cheaper to get a room for the night. Just something to consider.

 

For a WC, I would just tell them you have private events you need to book. They're usually good about giving you one.

Thank you! I was not assigned one yet, I emailed the woman in Miami an hour ago asking to be assigned to someone. Who are you assigned? I have read so many different posts about the WC I wouldn't even know where to begin!

I have Cristina. Slow to respond, but I heard she's amazing... my wedding's not until November so I try not to bother her too much...

 

I'm just working with all my vendors seperately...

I have Kalena, same slow to respond and when she does she's very apologetic. I almost feel bad bothering her b/c I know she's busy with other brides. Overall she got everything booked that I wanted pretty early on and even called me once to go over the details and send me a follow-up email. I hadn't heard from her since mid April but she emailed me last night and pretty much she is aware of my updates and we're all set to meet next Wednesday:-)
