Hello Ladies!

A while back someone posted photos that they personally took of all of the ceremony and reception venues while on a "field trip" to MP. I came across this thread while looking for those photos. I can't seem to find it; has anyone else seen it or know how to access this thread?

Also, since I started researching everything MP, I noticed that the Grand side of the resort is new. There's not much info out there about it. Does anyone know where more info and/or pics can be found featuring MP Grand?

I think I want fire dancers now. I think it would be cool.

Has anyone decided to go with this?

The company is Zúñiga Productions | Special Event Services for Groups and Conventions

Hope this helps.

LOL ...if your wedding was April 18 - we could have split the cost :)

Zuniga gave you a quote of $350 for a dance floor? Is it the light up dance floor? Just wondering b/c they gave me a quote for the light up dance floor that was first $1100, and then they lowered it to $700, and she said that is a smaller one.

My transportation costs were $150 too. Did they send you a catalog or anything? She said they like to customize for each bride but I wish I could see a catalog and price list, it would make things easier. I m concerned about the size of the Tucan Terrace, I hope it is not too small! They said it would depend on the number of people I had so IDK...

That Terraza Mar looks gorgeous! do you have to pay extra to have your welcome dinner there?

The $350 was for a white dancefloor...i asked for a price for the flashing dancefloor....$750!! Its a definite no no for us at that price.

Defo going with the firedancers...think that will be a great suprise for our guests. And defo going for the paper lanterns...would like a better price, but need to wait and see what they come back with.

Sooo excited! :)

We just got married there on March 19th and had our reception on the terrace that started with a "V", I can't remember the name, but it was ocean front and beautiful. But there were people on their room balconies watching us, which wasn't bad and people walking by dancing to the music. It was REALLY windy, I mean really windy. Our wedding was on the Playa Capilla beach and it was beautiful, but windy. All of the locations are not very private, so there were random people watching the wedding and taking pictures.....but it was fun.

Sorry ladies, I don't have a price quote for the Terraza Mar. We are doing this as a free event. As for the cocktail hour we are using the Lake Terrace. For those that are concerned with size, I heard this was a large one.

As for a catalog, I agree. I wish Zuniga had a catalog of at least their inventory. I just looked at their website and started asking for prices for everything I might be interested in. Pretty much almost anything you want for your wedding Zuniga can pretty much provide. Lily from Zuniga has been awesome. Today I asked if they had a really nice cake stand (because I heard MP just uses the basic foil) she said "no" but she was willing to buy one so that I could rent it. I'm not sure yet how much she is going to rent it to me for....

It's Lily ive been in contact with...she has been really helpful.

Managed to get firedancers and paper lanterns for just under 1000usd...a bit over my original budget of 800usd..but we considered not having the firedancers over the weekend (as they are whats really pushing the price up) but just think it'll be an awesome suprise for our guests...we'll regret it if we don't do it for the sake of 200 dollars!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
