ok so I guess I am giving him a gift if you want to count the BD photos.

I never thought about the kids finding the photos mexbride, now I am rethinking the situation. I know if I ever found pics like that of my mom I would be HORRIFIED!!!! LOL

Lindobride - I chose the group rate option because of the flexibility in days (some guests have said they're coming for 4 days, some 6, some 3, etc), the ability to fly from different airports, the security of having a room block (as I said before, I have a small hotel, this probably isn't a concern with the Iberostar!), and I also liked that they could book directly with the hotel. I think a package is cheaper, but I like the flexibility better. Also, there are great deals to be found on airfare, if people just track it and watch for the sales. Especially from Chicago, you can get very cheap, direct flights!

Looks like we are on the same page with out hotel bookings! I think the more people you start inviting to your wedding, the more you have to allow them to make their own travel arrangements since everyone has different schedules.

I found most of my lingerie on Frederick's of Hollywood site and a site I found called Lingerie Diva. I've done a lot of google searches and so far these have been the best sites, in my opinion. They have the most stuff when it comes to bright, fun, frilly stuff.

As far as the kids finding it someday, I'm not too worried! I had to find my share of embarrassing things from my parents! *cringe* Plus, I want to be able to look back at myself someday and be like, "See! I did have nice legs at one point in time!"

FutureMrsYak.. I know exactly what you mean 2 other girls at work are getting married aswell, one in July this year and one in September this year, but from the beginning they always seem to be doing tings and planning and when people ask me why im not planning like that i just dont know what to say.... but like you say, we dont have half the planning you need for a wedding at home!!! Which is a good thing really but like you makes me think im missing something!!!! :-)

And as for notes/reminders everywhere... GUILTY AS CHARGED... written down, reminders in my mobile, Fridge door, etc.... I know how you feel.

mexbride83... Im going to get something for FI, not sure what yet....?!?!?! Hmmmm, have got a few things in mind, but not really looked into anything!!! Oh and about turning "30" I still cant bring myself t say it, i just say "29 + 1" haha, and im ..... DARE i say it.... 31 in July!!!! haha :-)
What a lovely thing that would be, you earing to scuba dive... fantastic, Hpe you get over your fear... let us know how you get on :-) Hey you never know you might love it so much you do it all the time in Hawaii x

raychel.... Ooooooo, No wonder your excited, I love all of the outfits but i think the 1st, 2nd and the last outfits are my fave :-) WOW, your FI will LOVE em :-) I would love to get something like that done... this may be worth looking into?!!

My FI just isnt a "gifty" type of person so i doubt he will get me anything, he does do bdays, xmas etc, but would avoid if he could!!! lol, Ive learned to live with it :-) but i will still get him something and he will love it coz i am "gifty" :-)

            Julie,

The Grand Occidental at Cozumel is very nice with its private beach (the beach is not rocky and the sea isn't very wavy), and better than the Allegro next door.
As for restaurants, you will have much better price and choices on the Playa Del Carmen side, since Cozumel targets cruise folks, they usually charge more when the cruise ships are docking there.

I was thinking of doing boudoir pics for FI. He has everything and its really hard to surprise him, so I think this would make him happy and surprised.

Ha ha well for those of you worrying about turning 30 i'm going to be 33 in September!!! AARRRRGGGHH!! But i am young at heart. I will say i am 21 forever hee hee!......

As for the photos, my FI would not be expecting anything like that so it would be a nice surprise for him if i could build up the courage to do them. I wonder how much they would be?..... And as for the kids finding them. I'm not to worried. I'd be proud if i looked good in them, lol. I hope they airbrush, ha ha ha ha!

I think he will get me something but only because we've talked about wedding gifts. If i didn't mention he wouldn't have even known about them.... I suppose alot of men don't really know about the little things that go with a wedding! Well Dan doesn't anyway, lol

                    Michelle,
You are right about men and their knowledge on wedding details. My fianc© thinks he just have to buy a pair of shoes, a linen suit...and just show up. My friend who is getting married in July this year, her fianc© didn't get his suit yet..and has no clue what his buddies are going to wear.

Speaking of the groom and groomsmen attire, has anyone planned this yet? We are having our ceremony in church so our guys need to be more formal than a beach wedding.

Has anyone looked into renting tuxes in Mexico? Or how much it would cost to rent a tux from home and keep it for a week?

I need to start looking into this as soon as we get our BM dresses picked out.

I thought about getting a nice khaki suit and tie for my FI and then have the GM where just khaki dress pants, white dress shirt and matching ties. THoughts? I dont want to ask them to buy a whole suit.
