LOL! I've seen so many Partial Chow Chows! Even my dog, he got so much attention from other dogs, I got a lab, a golden retriever and..one time..a tiny Shizhu were trying to "hump" on him (yes, my dog is a boy, and he is not gay).

Actually I don't know what I should do with him during my wedding week, because he HATES strangers. Since he is old, I don't wanna stress him by bring him to Mexico too.huh.gifhuh.gif

For my fishes, I already have a timed feeder to feed them twice a day

For my other 2 boys, Yoda and Mojo, I will hire a petsitter to come to my place and feed them.

I'm too indecisive to make decisions so far out, because I'm worried they'll come out with something else that I like even more. I want the dress to be in Fresh Mint, and have the girls carry a bouquet of dark pink roses. I'm considering giving the girls two options, the Erica and Sydney, because I'm not sure if they'll all want a strapless dress. I'm just afraid that only one will choose the Sydney and then it'll look weird haha.
Thanks so much! We are *hopefully* (waiting on city approval) having our wedding at the base of the pier so shoes for sure. I'm going to let them pick their own gold shoes - heels or sandals.

I think the Erica dress is great, but honestly, anything in the color combos you've selected will be stunning. I love dark pink roses with that mint color! I had the same concern about one choosing one style and all of the other girls in another. Because mine were on super sale I had to take what was available. I tried to select their 1st choice if it was available in their size and I think only one girl got the second (and only choice). I paid for them since I got them on sale so I'm hoping that compensates for the lack of choice?!? There ended up being a pretty even amt of sophia v. robin. I probably should have waited! It was an impulse buy, but it made me move on actually picking my colors! Lol.

I think the Erica has a bit of a sweetheart shape to it so it will probably look good on everyone? Either one will be lovely!

Bonnie - Can you not hire a petsitter to watch your dog as well? I think we'll be boarding our boys, but they're both young, and my baby (the doberman) goes to daycare a couple of times a week, so I'm not too worried about them staying at the kennel. Though I really really hate itsad.gif Here's a pic of the boys... Conan doesn't realize that he's not a little puppy anymore and still sleeps on top of Murphy!

Thank you Riri! That is so awesome that you bought the dresses for the girls. If these dresses go on sale in the fall, I'll do the same. But if not, my plan is to get them all $100 gift certificates to cover part of the price. I feel bad with them already paying so much to travel, so I want to keep dress prices down.

LOL...so cute! I always thought Dobermans are aggressive dogs, I guess I was wrong.
My Chow hates strangers, especially male strangers...and he is a spoiled dog, we never left him in a kennel or daycare, and he spent like 3-4 hours alone everyday at home, the rest of the time, there is always someone home with him. I will consult my vet to see what I can do...huh.gifhuh.gif

Dobermans have a very undeserved bad reputation. Everyone who meets him is always surprised at what a sweetheart he is, but I've known a lot of dobermans and they're all the same! Just 90 pound lap dogs:)

That's so hard when your dog is old, because they handle change even worsesad.gif Definitely talk to your vet. Maybe they could recommend a female who could stay at your house while you're gone? One of my friends used to stay at my parents' house and watch their dog when they traveled because their dog isn't used to being alone. I did the same for an old boss, she paid me like $30 a day.

OMG i've missed so much....

I'm laughing at this though.... we've gone from talking about hair flowers, to hotel rates, diet, dogs, bridesmaid dresses and baby food! lol...how random. So funny!!!!

It's lovely we can all talk about anything and everything!! :o)

That is now 3 of us with the same date (28th May 2011) ;o)

Girls waiting on prices etc i totally get where your coming from. Us Uk girls getting married in May can't book anything yet either. It's so frustrating.... US and UK are so different though. Our prices are out up until the end of April 2011 so we are just waiting on the summer prices to come out. I would be so upset if i had less than a yr to go and still couldn't book. I hope you all get your rates soon x

Mexibride - That was the only way I was able to do it! I stalk the jcrew sale page. Everything eventually goes on sale. I bet yours will to! I felt bad about the cost as well. I feel like I am asking so much of them, but everyone seems less stressed about it than I do. Lol! I think the gift cards are perfect. And we are giving them a year to plan. That's what I keep telling myself:)

Michelle2011 - Yay! How exciting! Now we have 3 good vibes for the weather! Im actually leaning towards the Barcelo Maya Palace as our AI option for everyone. It looks awesome!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
