I have found a lot of "coming in on the boat" and "ceremony" pictures but I have sifted through tons of slidesshows and cannot remember who had the most RECEPTION pictures. I am needing these pictures to help convince my family and fiance that LC is absolutely beautiful and worth the effort! Can anyone help? Does anyone still have the link to the old thread that had all the picture links on it? Or does anyone have any reception pictures that they could email me? Any help would be GREAT!! thanks everyone! And BAREFOOTBRIDE cannot wait to see your pics and hear more about it! Congrats and welcome back!!!

also - Ms. Havisu.... we are dying for your pictures still!!

Thanks everyone!

did you look through all of the pictures on the very first post of this thread already?

what exactly are you looking for that you can't find? maybe that will help us point you in the right direction.

In other news we just returned from our anniversary trip back to PV...it was really last minute and we were only there for 3 days BUT it was amazing yet again! Didn't make it to LC this time just because we weren't there very long but PV weather at the end of April is PERFECT! zero clouds in the sky!

I heard from Miss Di (diane) who got married at LC last saturday and she said that it was "INCREDIBLE!" I don't think she is back to the states yet but I am sure she will come back here once she is and give us all the details of her day!

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to introduce myself... My name is Karen and I have officially booked Las Caletas for April 2nd, 2011!!! I am incredibly indecisive (I'm one of those people who spend 15 minutes at the store comparing different fabric softeners), but when I happened upon Las Caletas when searching online for Puerto Vallarta venues, I was sold immediately! I've read the entire old Las Caletas thread... thanks for all the info ladies! So far, we've decided on our photographer (Michele Turner), ordered our save the dates (from Vistaprint), and even bought my dress (would post a link but my FI is dying to find out what it looks like and I wouldn't be surprised if he looked up my posts for clues, lol)! Can't wait to see some new pics from the recent weddings!!!

Hi! I have a few of people's photos in the first post of this thread - just go to page 1 and take a peek. If you don't see what you're looking for there, then you can try searching for "Caletas" in the thread title (by using the search function) and some reviews will pop up that way. If you're still not finding it, let us know and we can help!

To ALL Caletas Brides/Grooms: PLEASE SEND ME A LINK (via PM) TO YOUR PICTURES/REVIEW/ETC SO I CAN INCLUDE THEM IN THE FIRST POST!

Ok, so I promised Kelley I wouldn't pester her with emails until after her high wedding season was over (not until June), so I was hoping you ladies could help me out. My FI has an aunt with rheumatoid arthritis, and uses a wheel chair almost all the time. I remember reading about the "all terrain wheelchair" that Las Caletas has on hand... but does this mean that they will never have walk to get anywhere? What about the boat... is that wheel chair accessible? Thanks!

oh yes you are not til april 2011 right? you have plenty of time to email kelly questions later...actually you probably won't really need to talk to her until a couple of months out. She is the only coordinator there now so I am sure she is SLAMMED. in the meantime you can ask all your questions here wink.gif

on the wheelchair, they can get the wheelchair on and off the boat just fine. I have pics of my grandma sitting in the wheelchair on the ride back and she is on the boat. The only place they won't be able to get the chair is down to the actual ceremony site on the beach. there are maybe 10 stairs that will have to be walked down. also maybe to get to the main bathrooms behind the reception. there may be a few steps there too but you can always have her use the bathroom that is on the second floor of where the reception is. to get there i do not think there are stairs.

Basically I would say 90% of LC wedding site can be accessed with the wheelchair. that is on the low side of my guess. I had my 2 grandmas and great aunt who are all well over 70 years of age with bad knees, etc who couldn't walk great distances and they did just fine. just have your people in the wheelchairs take their time and also going back to the boat they will have them walk over first from the reception so they can take their time.

I love Caletas more and more each time I go, and I'm stoked to be heading back at least 2 more times in the near future. Kelley is amazing to work with as well - she does a great job making each bride feel special, she works hard, and has a great time doing it. Send any random questions my way, and I'd be happy to give you my 2¢.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
