Hair and Makeup- Las Caletas has a hair/makeup stylist that comes out to the island and you can just use them to get ready. If your looking for one in downtown PV the same people that go to the island are located in downtown. They are great. I did my trial there in October in their shop and they will do my hair/makeup Saturday at the wedding. Their shop is called Joel's.

Welcome Bags: I'm staying at the Dreams in Nuevo Vallarta and was told it would be $3 per bag to be put in the room. I'm hosting a welcome dinner here on Friday night and arranged that through the wedding coordinator at the hotel. He took my welcome bags last night (guest arrive today) and is giving them to each person when they check in. He said he could also put them in the room, but I opted for check in and he DID NOT CHARGE ME :) SO maybe ask if they can get it at check in with no charge. I have them all labeled with a tag and the guest name on it so they can hand it to them when they arrive :)

Hope this helps! :)

Hi there!

Our Lady of Quadalupe. this is not inclded in the las caletas fees. they will be picking my guest up at the church after our ceramony!  then taking us to the marina and on the boat!!

Hey Everyone! Okay so my wedding was amazing, we jsut got back and I thought I would post a little before I forgot all the great stuff! I'll do a full review later but the day was just amazing!

We got to the island and I decided to get a 30 minute massage for $25 with my bridesmaids. It was perfect and just the right amount of time! I asked for Dennise to bring us lunch to the Casita which they did and we just relaxed. My aunts went and enjoyed the beach, the rest of us relaxed in the Casita!!

Hair and makeup was fantastic and Dennise was SOO helpful, brought us up a bunch of shots of tequila upon request before ceremony.

The boys arrived around 5:45 and my husband said he felt rushed, so I kind of wished I had paid for them to come over early and stay in hiding. We did not see each other before the ceremony!

Everything was perfect, drinks seemed a little watered down because I had about 7 shots and didn't feel a thing! Overall I give the entire wedding an A++++++++++++++++ I'll do a more detailed review later! Here are some pics from the day!decor ceremony.jpgguest book table.jpgreception.jpgchuppa.jpgcake.jpgme and dad.jpg037.JPG046.JPG070.JPGP4011753.JPG

OH yeah one more thing from my review- I left off. Dennise told me at our "pre wedding meeting" but I think I read it as a complaint with someone else, So just a heads up!

Dennise and Anne will take all of your stuff from the bridal casita down to where dinner is later in the night, you DO have to take your own stuff back to the boat, I just had all the guys and groomsman do it and told them ahead of time and it was easy and quick. I also made a list of things I knew HAD to come back, my toasting glasses, cake servers, unity sand frame, etc...that way I knew it would come back and be packed up. I got everything back and it was all good :)

I think that's the only thing I forgot in my review! Enjoy every minute of it, and seriously DO NOT stress over their responses, I probably emailed Dennise maybe 10 times and sent pictures of inspiration and it was PERFECT. Just send pics of your dream wedding to them and they will make it happen.  I did end up doing a few small centerpieces on the guest tables with water, gerber daisies floating and a candle, I didn't send a pic and thats what I got and it was perfect. It is so beautiful there I wouldn't add much at all!!! I changed the chuppa to the one with fabric, but other than that some pedals and maybe a centerpiece are fine.

TRUST ME, THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING :) And they have good taste. I gave them my little chest for my guest book table and some rocks to put in the chest and they added them on the edge of the table and just made it look awesome!

They also showed me my bouquet and it wasn't what I wanted so I asked them to add a few more pink gerber daisies and white lillies and they did and it was PERFECT so I respect that they showed it and confirmed and fixed :)

Enjoy brides!!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
